For those of us who have had to pack up some or all of your loose toy collection and 'store' it, how are you doing it?
The figures are farily easy by storing them in a plastic shoebox works quite well, with accessories in a smaller box. However, the vehicles are an issue. I had been putting some in a larger plastic tub (18 Gal.), however I'm always worried about the toys shifting if the tub is moved or things getting bent if I'm not careful enough. |

Unless you're displaying your vehicles where you can maintain them there is no easy solution. I have tons of Star Wars/Joe/Indy vehicles stored in totes. Any vehicle with a propeller (FANG, Dragonfly) are a nightmare.

When I store my company's 25th figure inventory I use the Rubbermaid/Sterilite 3 drawered plastic storage bins. I like the ones that are about 2 feet wide and 3 feet tall. The figures currently fit in one drawer, the Vehicles in another and the last is for MASS device stuff, other parts (Weather Dominators and Control Cubes) and all the file cards.
Oh and each of the figures is stored in Zip-Loc snack sized baggies.

There's a $4 adjustable storage bin at walmarts that are the perfect size to hold 12 figures with their accessories, each in it's own compartment. It's clear, so you can see what's in it too. Best case I've ever used for the price. It used to be in the tackle box section, but they've moved them to the hardware section now.
(Not to be confused with the new $6 tackleboxes that are similar) |

I store my in vehicles in big totes and use bubble wrap to keep them bouncing when moving the tote.

I keep my figures in snack sized zip-locks and put those into plastic shoe boxes. The vehicles I've been putting back in their original boxes for now. Unfortunately I got no room to display.

Get some cardboard and cut it up to create cardboard "shelves" inside the large plastic tote and layer the vehicles in between them.

Hey everyone, I'm new and I don't have too many vehicles but this is what I use to store all my loose figs.
Stack-On 39-Drawer Storage Organizer - DS-39/12 at The Home Depot Works real well and I just put labels on each drawer. The bigger drawers can hold some of the smaller vehicles. |
