yeah...lol... just realized that. Back in the day 1885 i took those small plastic army guys and customized them to the 1985 figures and sent them to hasbro. Hasbro made a few changes to them in 100 years...
I have since taken a few baths in the fountain of youth and am 25...plus i have a healing factor and..... my money tree in the back yard is doing good so im buying wave 9 for everyone on the IG team. I only wish... |

I chose 1982 just for the nostalgia. I still remember that night going to K-Mart with my mom and dad and picking up my first joes: Flash and Snake Eyes.

'85 - the characters just really stand out. I mean we've got the definitive Snake Eyes, Flint, Dusty, CG, Eels... the list goes on. If you factor in the vehicles it'd easily take it. The Flagg alone makes it THE year for GI Joe.

I liked it when they made the FLAGG and TERRORDROME. Talk about a cool year!

85 was the best year for original characters and cool vehicles/bases...but 87 also holds a special place in my heart because I was finally old enough to invest in a "roadside Kool-Aid franchise" to which I was able to buy a few of my own gi joes and not rely on special occasions such as X-mas and my birthday which only come once a year.

1986, when you consider both figures and vehicles.

Always a tough one for me...I went with '84 because my favorites Mutt&Junkyard came that year, plus other great ones like Firefly, Stormshadow, Blowtorch, Spirit, Recondo and Baroness...
But I love '85 as well..C'mon..Flint, Jaye, Bazooka, Alpine, Barbecue, Shipwreck, Dusty, Footloose and the baddest snakes ever!... '86 will always be special to me as this was when I got into the joes after growing tired of He-Man though..Dial-Tone, Lowlight, Leatherneck and Wetsuit... Ahh..the memories... Saboteur |
