I am a retailer, but I do not sell new items as they are released, only old stock, so don't jump on me for saying this..........
If you are tired of the evil empires that are Wal-mart and Target and tired of wasting your time, energy and money on this "hobby" then choose more wisely.... Pre-order it all from on on-line e-tailer such as Entertainment Earth or Big Bad Toy Store or any other e-tailers. The few extra bucks it costs you saves you money in gas and oh-so-precious time. Screw Wal-mart and Target, they do not cater to collectors anyway.

Exactly why I rely on my local comic shop more than anything now. I've used BBTS as well and they were great to deal with.

I have the fortune (or misfortune) of working for Walmart. So I know how things work, well at least around my neck of the woods. I can check our on-hands of the toys and see if any are due to come in. A few years ago my buddy who works in the toys department got super eBay crazy. He obsessed over the Disney Cars and was always on the lookout for them. He has a friend who does the eBay thing so he also has the scoop on what's "hot". He wanted the new 2-Packs but we had a whole bunch that wouldn't sell. Just joking, I told him to buy them all and put them on Layaway and when new ones come in, cancel the layaway. His idea was to buy them and return them to one of the many Walmarts in the area. His dumbass returned 42 2-packs to one Walmart. After all of his instock manipulation like that with his many lines he sold on eBay, I got into it as a way to clear out pegwarmers for the Marvel Legends, WWE Classics and the Joes. Anytime I needed to buy something, I'd grab like 4 different pegwarmers, get gift receipts and return them to our "designated" Walmart. I get the receipts just in case they ask too many questions, "well my nephew had these already so I just got a gift card and need to return these" type of deal. Also be on the lookout, Walmart does not adjust for tax. If you buy in a higher tax area and return to a lower tax area you lose some money, but vice versa and you gain some. Depending on how much your total is it can be just cents to a couple dollars. Long story short, my advice pick another Walmart as your designated return store to return pegwarmers so that way you know which store usually won't have a lot of new stuff in stock.

that sucks, i dont know if my local targets/walmarts/etc have empty pegs or if they are overflowing with revision crap. I havnt been hunting in months. i use to hunt 2 or 3 times a week going to a minimum of 10 stores(10 if i didnt find anything)each time. then i started to only go hunting one day during the weekend. when i discovered my local comic shop sold joes, i started to go straight there instead of driving around for hours hunting. i found 90% of the last three waves and the last wave of vehicles at this comic shop. though they charge alot more than target/walmart/etc,i feel its worth it because i save time and gas money and dont get fustrated this way. i remember when hunting was actually fun,the worst you would do was, only finding one new joe,but atleast you scored something. it may sound weird but i hated when ive prepared myself for a long day of hunting and i find the entire wave at the first spot i go to. i doubt my hunting will pick back up because i think these new 5-packs and the movie stuff will be easy to find.
