First, the bad news, I was going to build a 30 footer but I want to build 2 other projects first, one is an playset scaled FLAGG using a wood sheet that is 4 x 8--I have it cut out and the deck has a black deck with taped out cats and runway. She will be placed on two plastic shelves 2ft high by 2 foot wide by 3 foot long rubbermaid shelves. I am mounting those two shelves in tandem, bolted to a board with rollers mounted on the bottom....ships gotta move. Im still working on making 2 elevators on the starboard side. I can fit two skystrikers on the front cats and easily one on the runway, there is still plenty of space on deck for 2 more skystrikers or at least 3 x-30s.
By the by, I will post pics tonite-she will be mostly done, the flight deck, the exterior walls and possilby the starboard wall with openings for interior viewing. Hope you check it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My other project is insane and is going to be a bit more time than I care to admit to, but given what Zoomie and ILUVCOVERGIRL have done, it will be worth the wait. I dunno if making it exactly scale is gonna work out too great. It's gonna be huge. Probably over a hundred feet if you build it to scale... on second thought, DO IT! That would be the coolest toy ever!

Making her to scale would make her about 60 ft long, Im still working out the kinks and where to set it up.
Smaller Playset scale FLAGG, well, I have pics but I cant download them yet, she is only half finished but I wanted to show how I designed her and where Im at now. I have to work 3 days in a row starting tomorrow, so that will be taking a backseat. I do want to get my other project done as well, but that will take about 2-3 weeks. Gotta finish this carrier first. Ive also been tinkering with and idea for a COBRA Carrier---something like a cross between a small carrier and a sea shadow stealth ship, not sure where its gonna end up, but after cutting and painting, I want to give Cobra some larger vehicles. |
