Just want to warn everyone:
Took the day off today to recover from a cold, and got my second set of FSS wave 1 figures in the mail- looks like they're not doing their super-duper-awesome shipping boxes on these!!! They came together in a large 12"x15" Priority mail box that looks like a fat guy sat on it. I can't post pics at the moment but I sent them to Beam and mike000, so they can vouch for me. Inside the box they were sliding around wrapped in thin tissue paper. Dice was ok but the top of Jinx's card was bent at a 45 degree angle! Luckily for me, I anticipated this occurrence and waited to open my original set, who are mint. I've been doing this since the 25th was released to ensure the double stays on a decent card. I'm not complaining here because it doesnt effect me too much, I have my mint second set. Just wanted to offer a heads up for anyone like me who might be interested in a carded set to go with their loose set... Don't open the subscription shipment until you get your second set!

you just now got your second set of "wave 1" of your FSS?
Sounds like the post office jacked it up and not the club. But that's just a guess on my part. All my figs have come in fine and in their special mailer box. |

No, I was referring here to jinx and dice as "wave 1", whereas nanobat and quarrel would be "wave 2". I got my original jinx and dice from the club just before Christmas, they and nanobat/quarrel came fine in their special double boxes, these figures that arrived today were ordered as singles from the club store last week when they were posted publicly for club members and they arrived in a large priority mail box that was crushed (read original post). So this is my second set of the ninjas. I'm sure it was something that happened in the post office or in transit, I'm not blaming the club for crushing them, just pointing out the poor shipping box.

I'm not surprised that the extras don't come in the special box. Unfortunately, I'm also not surprised the USPS trashed your package. That seems to be par for the course.

I guess you could pay extra for bubble wrap. But it sucks that your box was smashed.

I received mine today - and I had a really good experience. I only ordered One Dice and paid the extra $1 for the bubble wrap. It came in a 10X8X3 box & was nicely wrapped in bubble wrap & had packing paper inside the box. My box was very nice & there did not appear to be a lot of room for it to move around.
It sucks to have to pay the extra $1 for the Bubble wrap - I think it should be standard - but evidently the extra $1 is the way to go for next time! |

Anyone else notice that the card backs are about a mm or two winder and longer than non-club 25th and 80's ARAH packaging and do not fit in the standard clam shells. Both my wave 1 sets were like this. Anyone have any suggestions?

If bubble wrap was standard, they'd just raise the price of shipping by a buck. At least this way, loose collectors can choose to save a buck on it.
