Are you excited for the next few months?

Last night I was talking toys with my best friend. He collects Mini Mates and it seems as though there is always something new. He mentioned that I have not brought up any new Joe toys in a while and that led to a discussion on the upcoming releases. I don't think I had really stopped to think about how much new Joe related product and info is about to come out. Once I had time to take it all in, I got pretty excited realizing that after the basic drought of last year, we are about to be hit with a flood.

Rest of January: FSS second shipment
February: Retaliation Waves 1 & 2 on store shelves, FSS third shipment, begin of Con set Reveals, and Toy Fair
March: Retaliation Waves 3 & 4, FSS fourth Shipment, more Con Reveals, Retaliation Release
April: Retaliation Wave 5, FSS Fifth Shipment, Joe Con
Unknown: Dollar General wave 2 figures

That's just all of the action figure releases. In addition there is all of the movie tie in product, plus whatever twelve inch product comes out during that time frame.

I am also really curious as to how Hasbro will divide up what new stuff they reveal between Toy Fair and Joe Con. I think Toy Fair will reveal the rest of the Retaliation toys, and perhaps a look at the first wave of post movie toys. Also I think we may see future waves of Dollar General figures. On the other hand, Joe Con is more likely to be where they reveal the SDCC exclusives, and hopefully they finally give us a date for when Kwinn will be released. If there are going to be 7 packs this year, I would think they will also be revealed at the Con since they are not mass market items and are collector specific product. If they do make them this year, I hope they go back to the original idea from the attack/defense sets... a Joe set of 7 characters not yet done in ME style and a Cobra set of mostly not yet made troop builders. There just does not seem to be much room or retailer desire for the 25th/30th updates in the retail line these days and that leaves the 7 packs, and to a lesser extent the FSS, as the best ways to continue to do those updates. I also think the club will likely use the con to introduce FSS2, perhaps showing figures for the three announced figures and maybe some reveals of others that are planned.

Anyway, I think business is about to pick up, there is a lot set to happen over the next few months. I think I am most excited to simply find out what is in the pipeline. What are you most excited about?

This is what i was thinking. My tax return will be going straight to hasbro lol(and sideshow...the hot toys snake eyes is a must have imo)

I'm excited to a point. My collecting is becoming more subdued. I am cutting back for personal and financial reasons.

That being said, I am always excited to see new product on the shelves whether I'm buying or not, and there are several pieces from the retaliation line to which I'm really looking forward.

Of course I'm excited for the movie, and I'm also excited about volume 2 of the Complete Collection of the Marvel run.

I am pretty pumped about the upcoming sideshow movie cobra commander. If they do this right it will be a great piece!!!

This is kinda where I am too--I've got my collection at a really good place and I want to be selective how I add to it. That said, once I see the new stuff on the pegs I may go crazy and get it all . . . I'm very interested to see what is revealed at Toy Fair and Joe Con--even if its stuff that won't be out right away it's cool to see it and know that it's coming. The SDCC stuff too--I got my first SDCC exclusives last year and I'm looking forward to seeing what figures they offer and if they do another Joe/TF piece. If they're awesome I'll look forward to trying to get them; if they're not then more money for something else--win/win!

I didn't realize this was announced. That may be an excellent figure.
