There should be an automated tracking email generated from PayPal when I process the shipment.

Has anyone contacted Cobra Stickers about making sets for these? Is there anyone else to contact about getting a set made for these?

There is a guy named j.ruben who makes excellent repro decals. His Devilfish set is $3.99 and he can be reached at [email protected]
If you don't want the Devilfish decals, e-mail him for a complete list of his decals because he's always updating. I'm thinking any small Cobra vehicle should do and most of his smaller sets are in the $5-6 range.

Man...boxing up 20+ packages takes more material than I thought! I have about 10 of them done, and then ran out of packing peanuts. I am going to have more of them tomorrow (I ordered a huge bag of them, and tracking shows they will be here tomorrow). I will then box the remaining pieces and process the labels. These should hit the mail on Thursday!

Bradforj,
I have my mind set on doing some projects like this with my hazardous duty pay when I get back from Iraq. I've gone through this entire thread from start to finish, from nay-sayer to yay-sayer, and I see some places where there was shared confusion. Add in the flatness of this medium and fights get started. It's regrettable, but damn near inevitable. I hope none of it detracted from waht must have been the joy of pulling off such a cool project. I do have a couple questions though... 1. There were a bunch of doubting thomases here that were reluctant to commit before seeing a final product. I can understand that. But if they still want one and now, seeing the end reult, are willing to go in, why wouldn't you do another run? Are the molds 1-use only, or is there some limiting factor in the people you had do the casting? I would think a second run would cover the costs of the project and maybe give you enough to foot a new project as well... 2. We still don't know what material you used. Does the manufacturer keep this a close secret, or did it just get lost in the translation somewhere? I know this was a point of argument for several Tankers. I think the material is, well, material... Great job on the project, from vision to reality! (Most projects never get past vision). I look forward to seeing what you come up with next! |
