Let's talk about 'Ultimate' Firefly

I found it interesting that Hasbro had an 'ultimate' Firefly in the pipeline to be released after the highly-touted 3-pack Firefly.

Are people planning to get both? Keep the 3-pack version 'as-is' or swap out heads, gear, etc.? (Some people have it already, correct?)

Use the 'ultimate' greenish coat figure as a new character?

I love Firefly and am hoping to steal some ideas here.

I'm going with Retaliation 3 pack, with changes to accessories and webbing.

I'm getting both, 1 for movie collection, the other for poc/30th.

Have to say I like the 3-pack best as far as a classically styled Firefly goes, but I'm not a big fan of the use of Lifeline's accessories on his upper legs. As much as I dislike the massive over use of the silenced pistol holster I actually would have preferred it in this application.

Can I be weird and say that I'm getting bunches of every version of movie Firefly just because Ray Stevenson is The Man? Rome, the best Punisher ever, Dexter, Outpost, and Kill the Irishman: I'm hoping that he got to actually act and that Firefly gets some depth and isn't sacrificed to ROC-style no-storyline-but-lets-have-lots-of-explosions editing.

Yeah, that seems like a weird oversight or choice(!?!?) on the designers' part. Didn't the '84 FF actually have a holster there anyway? Sooo...hmm.

Anyhow, I'm positively giddy over this figure. A re-do of the 25th FF has been a HUGE want of mine for a long time, and it looks like they NAILED it this time! Well, 95% nailed, I suppose.

'Ultimate' means nothing to me.
The 3 Pack Firefly will go with my 25th/ME Cobra display. The w3 Firefly will be Firefly's apprentice. As for w2 glowing Firefly I have yet to decide if I'll get this a full price, let along be Firefly.

I think the 3 pack is the best but I really like that they found a use for that ROC SS torso in the ultimate version. I like that torso for customs, I just hate painting white casted pieces.

I'm going to get the three pack version and do some kit bashing with my 25th version. I did several minor mods to my 25th, including making the knife removable from his boot.

The 3 pack version looks badass - it's #1 for me right now. 2nd place goes to the Ultimate Retaliation version.
