Ugh...
1) Much better head sculpt including 1985 accurate visor, a VAST improvement over both older versions, especially the five pack version 2) working holster 3) working knife sheath (and it isn't HUGE) 4) Seriously improved bandoleer (over 5 pack version) 5) Correct footwear sculpt 6) Ankle pouches (instead of house arrest bands or none at all) 7) Improved wrist articulation 8) Improved ankle articulation 9) Improved dart launcher sculpt 10) Less bulky shoulder pouch sculpt 12) Added clothing details (seems, etc)

My big complaint is that it doesn't really feel like an "Ultimate" figure. Ultimate figures, to my mind, should be special, and while this is an improvement over the versions we received during the 25th, it feels very plain. I'm not an accessory junky, but I do believe in multiple accessories if they are the *right* accessories. Why not add some Sunbow or comic-related items? Something to expand on his history in the mythos (like the Kreo Quick Kick coming with a fudgie bar)?
As for scalpers, I don't think it'll be the case. I don't think the demand will be quite as high for this guy. Also, I think we'll have a better chance at getting later wave figures because of the movie delay. I mean, Wave 1 already hit way back when and has been mostly clearanced out. So the next wave will be the big promotional wave, and there are already some figures people want in that one. I think there's a good chance stuff will sell through. |

In the past, ordering a set and using Pile of Loot, I've largely managed to get the average Joe per figure price down to a buck or two above retail from BBTS. Quote:

To make this or any other figure truly ultimate, would probably require a premium pricepoint offering (something the brand isn't supporting right now). With that, the complaints on it being "plain" are odd because it is basically a straight remake of the 85 figure, so any issues with the design stem from their source material. We also haven't seen a full accessory compliment yet. We know he's getting another of the same timber we've seen for almost a decade, a knife, a pistol, and at least a sword. He'll probably get a couple more items and maybe a zipline thingy. But most importantly, remember this is being marketed as a movie item, so I question the need to "expand its history" when its primary function is to get another Snake Eyes in the toyline quickly, cheaply, and as is, very collector friendly. Even though retailers sold SOME of the wave 1 stock, it was probably produced in fairly significant numbers because of its time of release (Target is already confirmed as putting out MORE wave 1), AND we still have however much wave 2 is in system to sell as well before we even get to the "revamped" wave 3 with its movie accurate items. All of that has to sell before we see wave 4, much less wave 5.

Does it have a mouth? The 85 did.
I'm just being a smart ass. Not trying to start a SE mouth debate here.
