Unfortunately, you are going to see less and less Gi Joe figures at retail stores besides Toy R Us or Target! -This is the sign of the times! To get those hard sought after figures; the majority of us are gonna have to order from online retailers! Alot of these companies are starting to realize that they can save a boat load of money by just selling them online! Just last Christmas season; online sales were up (..Most people realize they can get what they want easier offline especially with limited time because of work or what not)! Less and less people want to go to the store; only to be dissapointed by them not carrying the figure (..or vehicle or whatever) that you want or them just not carrying them at all (..Walmart)! I plan on buying the majority of these Retaliation figures by the waves (..I personally don't like running all over town trying to track down Gi Joe figures)! I know some of you on Hisstank forums live in bad parts of the country; to where Gi Joe toy distribution is poor or lackluster! But geting back to this Ultimate Snake Eyes; he is a must get for me! This figure has a better head mold than the 25th anniversary figure with probably better articulation! -Now I could be wrong but judging by this figure; we could be getting some more 25th or 30th Anniversary style figures of more Sunbow or DIC characters (..Remember all those unproduced figures at JoeCon 2012) down the line after this movie(..Hasbro threw hints at us last time with the Rise of Cobra line figures; Resolute Roadblock, Resolute Gung Ho and Resolute Snake Eyes)!

Doesn't look much different than the 25th version. An updated version of what I call "Superhero Snake Eyes".
The POC SE was sweet though. |

Already on my wish list. If I can't find it at retail, then BBTS or ebay will have to suffice. And yes, it's a great figure.

I'll be honest, I hope to not see anymore Joe product at Ross or TJ Maxx. That speaks to poor sales for Hasbro. That's not good for the future of the line.

I get the feeling this was initially made as part of the 30th line but pushed back until Hasbro found an open slot in the movie waves to put it in. It's like their answer to those who came into the 25th line late and/or those who didn't think the HOH/later 25th Snake Eyes were up to par. This V2 head sculpt is good and I like the rocker ankles/hinged wrists. Hopefully we can get a better Storm Shadow V2 as well.

Good comparison shot! The Ultimate Snake Eyes is far superior (..hence "Ultimate" Snake Eyes) to the 25th Anniversary Snake Eyes figures! I think we will see more Ultimate style figures even after Gi Joe:Retaliation! This is going to be a big year for Gi Joe fans! I would love to see a better Resolute Storm Shadow (..one that is a lot slender & accurate to what we saw in the movie)! Now if Hasbro went back and made an ultimate "Sunbow" Storm Shadow; that would be awesome! _Hopefully this will happen!

I don't see that much of a difference either.

I like it, but my opinion is that POC SE will always be 'Ultimate'
