Well I've got a pretty good size cobra army now and I was wondering if anyone seperates them into squads/platoons/units/brigades/fireteams.
I want to organize them somehow but I'm just curious what other people are doing and how they are ranking/placing troops

I organize mine into squads designed for specific missions. Don't have nearly enough for brigades, much less a company. I always try to have 1-2 machine gunners, 1-2 grenadiers (like Gung-Ho), a squad leader, two team leaders who assist the squad leader, an anti-armor specialist and a sniper or designated marksman in one squad. And four squads make up a nice platoon. Falcon is my platoon leader and Duke is the platoon sgt. Breaker will be my RTO until Dial-Tone arrives.

I think he meant Cobra organization.
Obviously the arctic and desert squads are together, the CGs are a squad (or platoon or company or whatever depending on how many you have) on their own.
B.A.T.S. are their own squad, deployed as needed.
The H.I.S.S. are driven by the driver with the commander as the gunner.
Troopers are 4 man squads with a bazooka trooper along for the ride and an officer (or up to 8 Troopers, depending on what I'm doing for set-up).
Vipers are deployed in 6 man squads, and since there aren't any other Vipers (at the moment) they're on their own.
Para-Vipers are solo, Night Watch and Python Patrol are special units. Eels are on their own, along with the Divers.

since its impossible to be abl to acquire the realistic numbers needed this is how I break my cobra forces down:
2 man sniper team
3 man recon team
4-6 man squad
2 squads equal a platoon
2 platoons equal a brigade
in the case of vipers, crimson guard, and others that I have more than ten of I have stand alone platoons.

I dont have much of an Cobra army either as I can never find enough Cobra troopers so Ive concentrated mostly on my Polar Assault troops. I consider my Snow Serpent Officer from the Extreme Condition set a Lieutenant leading 21 Snow Serpents. I have the Tele-Viper from the same set permanently assigned to the side of the officer. Im trying to figure out a way to custom mark 2 Snow Serpents as Sergeants. Any ideas?

My Cobra troop organization is broke down like this:
Vipers: 5 Vipers and 1 Tele-Viper. This will increase to 12 when the TRU Viper set exclusive hits the shelves, with the gold masked Viper becoming the squad leader.
Crimson Guard: 1 Officer (from the SRO set) and 5 Guardsmen
Python Patrol: 1 "Officer" and 5 troopers. (This will expand with the addition of Copperhead and CG's along with the Conquest and Viper). The "Officer" is a regular PP troop body with the head and helmet from the Legions Stinger driver. A simple swap that is very effective.
BATS: Just six.
HISS Tankers: 1 "Officer" (blue driver from wave 1 HISS Tank) and 5 single-carded Drivers make up this team. A total of six crewman for three HISS Tanks.
Snow Serpents: 1 Snow Serpent Officer (Arctic conditions), 4 Snow Serpents and 1 Arctic Tele-Viper.
Then of course there are those that fall within the "Command Element":
Cobra Commander, Baroness, Destro, Bludd, etc.
The following are in the works and depend on funds and availability:
Ninja Vipers: 4
Iron Grenadiers: 1 Officer (purple) and 3 regular IG's.
Cobra Divers: 4

Mine is similar to alot of yours. I like to get 4 of each army builder with a squad leader for each one. If there are heavy weapons troopers available, I'll add one to the squad. I like to keep the drivers with whatever vehicle they come with, but I use the red HISS Driver with the black HISS, and the Rip It with the blue HISS. My squads are broken out like this:
4 various red sigil blue shirts and 1 Bazooker Trooper with the W1 SRO Officer leading
8 W2 blueshirts with 2 Bazooka Troopers and 2 W1 Officer leading
4 Stinger Drivers with Target HISS Driver leading
4 Legions Troopers and 4 Air Troopers with Scarface leading
4 Night Watch Troopers with Night Watch Officer leading
4 BATs with 1 red faced BAT leading
4 Snow Serpents and 1 Heavy Weapons with Snow Serpent Officer leading
4 various CGs with W1 SRO CG Officer leading
4 Para Vipers
4 Python Officers/Troopers (will use Python Trooper/Officer as a leader if/when they ever put him out)
4 Vipers (will use the shiny faced 5 pack one as a leader)
3 EELs (need 1 more)
2 Tele-Vipers (randomly allocated to a squad)
2 Red Ninjas
2 Legions SS as random ninjas
2 Ninja Kus as random ninjas
2 Ninja Vipers (still need these)
1 of each Desert Trooper
1 of each HISS Driver, and the UBP HISS Gunner
