I can see the point on the HM just being plastered on the figure. Luckily, my RR CC wasn't released to the public so that semi-authenticates it. Can't speak for the Flint though (even though I honestly think its legit).
Hasbro Master figures I believe are final products that Hasbro has given the green light to be mass-produced. |

In the past, most action figures were sculpted at 2 times or more the size of the final figure and then shrunk down to actual size during the tooling, This makes it easier to sculpt the fine detail, but it also created the possibilities for errors and headaches during reduction. So many more sculptors work at the 1:1 scale now.
So the 1-up is a prototype sample of the production figure, at 1:1 scale, 2-up is the same at twice the size. A 'master' is a prototype that is painted; the paint master is used as a template for the paint detailing on the final toy. In the factory, this is used by workers to use as guides when they paint the production figures. |

I saw the same "HM on a duke and roadblock here at Fred Meyers, and I traded the Flint Phorpus has to him, but got that one at WalMart. What are the odds of that?
I didn't see the "HM" on the Flint, but I passed on the other two cause I thought someone tagged it for fun or something...

I have another Flint with a backpack hole and I'm comparing the two but I honestly don't see any difference whatsoever.
Although the HM one seems to have clearer eyes and slightly darker skin. Would posting pics of it beside two other flints help? |

As you can see from this picture (HM on the far left and not the bubble):
They all look exactly the same. I don't know what I'm supposed to be seeing here. The only remotely interesting thing is the HM has cleaner paint apps on its eyes. Last edited by Phorpus; 12-21-2007 at 05:03 PM.. |
