See above. I'm sure that, with a little imagination, other reasons than "to be sold at a profit" can be envisioned.

Yeah I think you should be at least able to get store credit.

Well the only time TRU take toys back without a receipt is 30 days after Xmas. Samething in all the other stores. After the 30 days are over you need a receipt. Hope this helps

if Wal Mart believes the goodwill it gains with customers is worth it because it will lead to further business with the customer, than they are not only not victims, but are profiting from the policy. there i sno theft at all in such a scenario. |

I had a $10 gift card to Sears and couldn't find anything at all to buy. I can use it at Kmart so I decided to buy some Joes. Nothing I needed after 3 weeks and they never restocked, so I decided to just buy anything. I then took it to WM for a refund. I knew I would at least get a WM gift card then, I can always find stuff at WM. Maybe that was wrong, I dunno..anyhow i got cash back. I then found something that I did want from them. So basically, Kmart got paid, then WM & myself traded, so we both got paid. No one took a loss so no hrm done.
WM has taken tons of stuff back for me when I didn't have the receipt. MOST of the time, I will get cash back. Some times I have to show my license, sometimes I don't. I think the only time they give refunds on a gift card has been at Christmas when it's just easier for them. Last edited by Ruination04; 01-10-2009 at 12:19 AM.. |

I returned a handful of MIP Joes to Walmart just last week. I didn't buy them there. A couple were bought at a different Walmart a while back for a trade that fell through. The rest were acquired from BBTS in the form of "that figure that I didn't want but came in the case." I had them up in my BST thread for a bit, at cost or less, but no takers, so I gathered them up and headed for the Wallycron. I got a gift card in return, which bought a couple of Transformers and the new Stephen King book so far. The Joes went up on the pegs, and sold in the week or so between my visits. I guess whoever bought them is guilty of stealing, too.
