I just opened my set of Wave 4 figures from Hasbro Toyshop and found something extra. Along with the Duke, Airtrooper, anc two Cobra Troopers I ordered was a second Airtrooper I didn't. He's not listed on my invoice, and I didn't pay for him. It appears that Hasbro just accidentally grabbed two figures and dumped them in my box instead of one.
Now I'm no thief, and I will be calling the customer service line later today to tell them. But I don't really feel like taking the time, or spending any money to send this back. I didn't ask for it, and I'm not facing the heaviest shipping season of the year for their mistake. I've decided to call them and listen to what they want me to do and kind of wing it from there. I would like to hear any other advice. Is this a common mistake?

I'd imagine they'll just tell you to keep it for all the reasons you listed ~ it'd cost them practically what the figures worth it to have it shipped back ~ but I'm sure they'd appreciate the gesture, as would your conscience.

same thing happened to me, except I got an extra Buzzer. bummer, I sure would have liked to get an Air Trooper, but they were sold out before I could order.

Well I kept to my word and called Hasbro's customer service line. The operator asked me to re-pack the Airtrooper and send it back to them using the return label on my invoice. I guess it is worth it to them to take things back.
