***EDIT*** Check my album here at Hisstank.com for some pics of my custom character...
----- Has anyone else done this? I bought a Wave 13 Resolute trooper and performed a minor head swap using the black head from the Wave 6 Cobra Commander Battle Armor. The result is a sort-of-Shockwave or generic G.I. Joe SWAT trooper. I know Shockwave is coming in a comic pack but I was never much a fan of the blue and yellow camo patterns. With the lack of a Cobra symbol the Resolute trooper looks less like a Cobra trooper so I decided to use him like I envision him... I know I speak blasphemy to those who LOVE the Resolute trooper... I hope I'm not the only one who has performed this mod... Sorry for the lack of pictures but I'm nursing a "New Year's Day" buzz and I don't feel like messing with my camera right now...

i did it too.
the resolute troopers eyes looked a bit too wild for my taste. i used the paraviper's head. i was having an issue with one of the hoses coming out of the mask, so i removed the paraviper's head altogether. seeing as i have that paraviper hanging four feet above my computer, one cannot even notice that his head is missing! as soon as i did the headswap i thought shockwave, but my OCD wont allow me to call the resolute trooper anything other than what he is. and just for the record, a normal cobra trooper head, bald that is, cannot wear the resoulte trooper all too well. That's a very good idea-- I'll take a look at that head later today!
Does anyone know (aside from tearing off Gung Ho or Cutter's hat) an online seller who makes 1:18 scale baseball style SWAT hats? I checked Marauder and I've heard of the baseball figures from TRU but I wanted something closer to what SWAT wears. It's not totally necessary to have one since the figure looks good with just the balaklava covering the head. This character looks like it could be the CTU representative that got promoted to the G.I Joe team...

The Resolute Trooper does have an "urban shock trooper" look to it, so is perfect for a S.W.A.T. figure.

Neat...I gotta try that one of these days. You could just get a Valor vs. Venom Gung-Ho cap or a Spytroops Gung-Ho cap. You could get cheap custom fodder since Gung-Ho figures usually sell pretty cheap(even the VvV ones that aren't AA).
