I've only dealt with John once and it was directly through his website. And from my own experience, he is good for it because of what happened with my order. Sometime last year I think, I purchased a 1988 ASTRO-VIPER full card backing and a few other ones that I was wanting for my personal collection and project. Well upon receiving the pkg (shipping was kinda slow) the full card that I had wanted was not included, and I received a basic file card that was already cut instead... At first, I wasn't sure what to think because shipping wasn't exactly prompt but that wasn't really what bugged me. It was the purchase that I made, and having the wrong item sent to me had me a little worked up! Anyway, I did contact John about the situation and he DID resolve it right away for me. Even though the post office had lost the pkg (with the correct item) in the they're mailing system! Because I remember contacting John again about the delay, and after it had finally arrived... and judging by the scuff and scraps that was on the outside of the pkg... I had realized what the pkg, with the correct item, had been through. LOL I know because I used to work for UPS, and they have a very similar mailing system for smaller parcels and pkgs of that sort! haHa So all in all, I was relieved and very happy to finally recieve the correct item, and didn't care about anything else that went wrong or had happened! Because he DID make good of the situation and resolved the problem, after I had contacted him... I'm really glad he was able to take care of you though Mike. That's really good to hear... :] |

I ordered about $25 worth of fodder from JA. Paid using Paypal. Items arrived within an acceptable time limit. However, some items were missing. My reciept showed that a refund for SOME, not ALL, of the missing items had been processed. I had no refund in my Paypal account.
On Nov. 11th, I contacted JA about the mistake, listing in detail all of the items I had been shorted and what my total refund should be. In this case, it was $5.23 I should have had coming to me. Later that same morning, I recieved a cheery enough e-mail from JA telling me that he'd "look into it", and that he'd "be in touch". On December 2nd, I had had not heard back from JA, nor had I recieved a refund. I wrote another e-mail saying as much. It is now December 5th. I still have not heard back from JA. Granted, it's not a ton of money, and it wasn't a huge order, but it's the principle of the thing. The site came highly recommended and I was taking them on a trial run. It might be a fluke bad experience, and I'm sure with the business volume the site probably has that he has bigger customers to deal with; but I would just be cautious, that's all. If things get settled, I'll post to the board. Edit: This afternoon, December 6th, I recieved my refund. I can recommend you buy with confidence from JoeArmory now that everything's been taken care of on my end.

+10 for Joe Armory.
After reading the previous posts, I can understand the concern. I too wondered about the shipping time (it came media mail so that was understandable), however John/Zombieguide came through. Everything was exactly how it was described and even a small issue was resolved quickly. I spoke with John on the phone and let me tell you, he is a solid guy. He was willing to go the extra mile for me and do some looking around for specific items I've been trying to find. I'm not going to hesitate in dealing with him again. |

I recently purchased some joes from Joearmory and although the shipping was slow and some pieces were out of stock, I was issued a refund for the out of stock pieces and was happy with the joes I did receive.
