I wonder how many orders have yet to be filled. It seems like a ton of people ordered in the first day or two. Mine wasn't until the 16th so maybe I'll have a birthday present coming to me in May.

We've been over this issue before. We're fighting over this because there isn't enough supply to satisfy everyone. If there were more pegs like the Transformer Movie toys, we wouldn't care about the scalpers. But the fact is there are only few pegs at the stores and buying boat loads of cases doesn't help the situation. That's why I pre-order my stuff through BBTS or buy through HTS.

This time of year is just a pain for toy collectors, period. |

Must be a question of the area and etc, though; I can't go into a toy dept or store without tripping over Transformers toys, autobots and decepticons aplenty, and many from the movie. Thankfully I don't collect them; my wife forbade it when she saw me eyeing a Bumblebee the day after we saw the movie.

I thought, okay, there are Transformer toys aplenty at Target, so I'll get him a Bumblebee. There were no Autobots left anywhere! Those things are really popular right now, and most of what's left on the pegs are characters who weren't even in the movie. I finally managed to open a case and pull out a Bumblebee myself, but retailers are struggling to even keep those in stock.

I hated the movie, so I never even considered collecting them myself, and we would always just make fun of them. I knew a five-year-old was going to want a movie toy, though, so I made damn sure he got it, even if it felt like I was betraying my youth a little. ;)

Dang! If BBTS got in a shipment and that shipment didn't even fill all of the pre-orders placed on Oct 4th, what chance to I have of getting mine? I ordered on Oct 8th. Arg! I'll probably find them at retail before my order ships from BBTS, but I guess I'll keep the pre-order just in case. Actually, knowing my luck, I'll probably find them at retail and when I get home, I'll have an email in my inbox telling me that my order has been filled. Sigh.
