So in recent years we got the 91 HQ twice, and the Mobile Command Center. When they planned on doing the HQ in 01-02 they originally planned on using the mold for the original which says to me they have most of the molds for it. Now considering that it's modular and most of the pieces are not that big I'm thinking....
Would you buy one if it was reissued?

Hasbro Credentials?
Actually I believe at the time it was because there were missing tools (Molds). Since they are remolding things now anyway and if the parts missing are some of the smaller ones I don't think it's far fetched.

I would buy it in an instant, but with today's standard of window package and already built, I seriously doubt we'll get one. Maybe there's something in store for the movie toyline

absolutely! retool what's needed, add some new details, create separate modular pieces to continue to add to it, and release it in the movie line! home run!

I think by today's standards this could easily be done. you would break it up into seperate packs. like you said it is modular so hasbro would make more money by selling it in seperate packs that contained figures or other things. And it being in smaller packs would make the shelf space a non issue. That hq is not that massive to begin with. unassembled it could be put in a very reasonably sized box
