I got kind of a late start with collecting my favorite new copies of yesteryear's figures.
I missed out on some of the original 25th figures and am wondering if they are going to continue making and selling figures like the original white Storm Shadow, Gung Ho, Scarlett, Cobra Enemy/Officer and others that were on the shelves more last year? To me, the earlier waves were the better ones but they are impossible to find on the shelves as they have all been bought up. This seemed to be the downfall of GIjoe last time around and if they stop making them again, I can see it killing the line again. I can care less about all the figures with huge guns and bright neon colors all over them but I think we are getting to the point where that is about all that is left to release. I would think if they want to make lots of sales they would produce more of the popular figures that people want or are they just trying to create collector's items out of these good figures? |

I image with economies of scale, it is not practical to have 50-100 active molds being used to make figures and constantly keep them all in production.
Obviously thats why they do not keep releasing all the old figures as well as new figures (also there would be a lot more pegwarmers that way). I've noticed in most of the recent waves they are including an "updated" original release figure. i.e. one of the original figures on a comic/tv series card (no 25th logo) and maybe fixed crotches etc. From what I remember there are only 3 or 4 figures that have not been slated to be remade/relaunched. And I am sure you can find those online.. |

Is it even possible to get to the point where the original white storm shadow and BATS could be peg warmers?
This is good if they are re-releasing some in the new waves. Do we know which ones and when? |

If you look at BigBadToyStore's list of products, it lists the Wave # and Revision #. Different Revisions contain different figures.
Normally when a new wave comes out, it may have 5 brand new figures, and 3 holdover figures from the previous wave that they know will be popular (army builders etc). Then I've seen them have a revision where there will be the 5 new figures, an EXTRA new figure of something that people want more of (B.A.T., EEL, etc) and 2 different figures. This goes on and on, some waves get more revisions than others (I have no idea why). When info comes out on new waves, you can check whats going to be in the box. Each box has 8 figures in it, and normally they do not do 8 new figures for a single wave. Hope that sorta made sense. Oh and some people have been seeing B.A.T.s peg warming! |

Since they just re-released the original Joe 5 pack figures (plus Destro and Storm Shadow) in single card form in December I doubt they will again. That's when I finally got my original Storm Shadow. LOL.

I can think of a heck of a lot of figures that they need to remake/release before they (Hasbro) get into all those bright colors and big guns...

Ahh, ok, I see that the original snake eyes is available in wave 13. Hopefully the original storm shadow will show up again soon... For that matter, hopefully anything will show up again soon as the shelves are bare now.

If not, you got the sleeveless one coming in the new Cobra 5-pack, which is all kinds of awesome. Except for pink Zartan.
