I have sadly come to that conclusion. It is four days before Christmas. Every Wal-Mart that I visit is overflowing with the same Joe stuff that it has had for weeks, while the Transformers are nearly sold out. Even Indiana Jones is moving! Joes are not even being considered as last minute gifts. This is truly sad, as I had hopes some kids might want these for Christmas. I guess something is necessary to turn them on to a product, whether it is a cartoon, movie, etc. Here's hoping Resolute and the 2009 movie do the trick.

Depends on where you go on whether Joe is sold out, but the Transformers pegs are almost empty. The revision wave is still clogging up the Wal-Marts, and Tiger Force Duke, Croc Master, and Arctic Snake-Eyes are peg-warming the Targets.

As a father of 3, I have found that the appeal for Joes is still there- my 2 boys love the action and fun, my daughter enjoys the female characters and loves that they have animal companions. I just think that there isn't a lot of "This is what GI Joe" is- we had cartoons in the 80's, of course I bought them before the toon. Kids are just being fed a steady stream of sucky CCG oriented cartoons and it just dominates. That Bakugan stuff is unreal.

Wait till the movie hits. The kids know nothing about it. Some older parents don't even know about the 25th line!!! I talked to a guy in walmart the other day and he saw my serpentor arise dvd and asked me where I got it from. After the movie hits, the first couple of waves are gonna be harder to get. Some of them are hard to get now, it will be crazy. Look at what the movie Transformers did. And this is about a special forces army? Kids will go nuts!!!!!!!! Think about how you were when YOU found out about gi joe!!!!!!

I think it depends on where you are at. At our Target and WM, Joes sell out pretty quickly. We've had a lot of Joes warming the pegs for awhile at WM, but with the holiday shopping madness, they are fairly empty now. And I was at Sears the other day and I saw a kid buying a Wild Bill! I have seen some kids looking at Joes and such where I live, and my two boys like just about any action figure at this time, so I think there's still some life in the line.
