Pretty sure ROC was supposed to change this. LOL. And ROC almost ended up killing the line with retailers IMO. But yah, Renegades has great potential to pull some new kids into Joes... too bad they will miss this years Christmas push since the show got delayed. Some kids might have bought some POC stuff if they got to watch the new cartoon.
it will depend on how its network handles it as to if kids even see it as well as the fact that it is bound to that network (that is new) and most likely wont be carried in all markets(cable systems) real soon. Star trek voyager had this problem being the first (new) trek anchored to a singlre network UPN and one that wasn't nation wide for a couple years, it took syndication to save it |

lol thats awesome.
My son and nephew both play with joes and prefer for some reason any of the cobra ninjas or soldiers. They pass on most of the joes they see. And they both play with star wars as well.

SWEET!!! my boys are too hooked on HEROCLIX at the moment, Spring and Summer coming will change that for us tho. plus they are pumped for the movie!! G.I. JOE would still be popular if parents STOPPED buying YOUNGER kids video gaming systems, or not necessarily STOPPED buying them but limited their kids to how much they actually played,
we have a rule in our house A GOLDEN RULE IF YOU MAY, During the school week NO GAMING SYSTEMS, IPODS ETC, And weekends are limited to anything prior to 12:00pm and after 8:00 pm unless there is weather not permitting u to go outside Summertime and vacations are just like the weekends, except for christmas vacation i am usually more leiniet due to my boys usually getting a new game or two!! 'NUFF SAID!! doc |

I still remember one time my best cousin came over my house to sleepover and like... we turned out the lights and he had a flashlight for a spot light and like... Storm Shadow and Firefly or something was trying to infiltrate my 86' Joe headquarters. We had everything set up... very similar to that pic... and we had a blast. God, that is such a good memory. |

Even though this is a double zombie thread, I am EXTREMELY curious as to the specific location of the OP. We live in the same state and in December 2008, Joes were just as scarce at local Walmarts, Kmarts and Targets as they were two months ago. Oh yeah...my nephews have been into GI Joe since 2007, so 'the kids' do like them. Their favorite toys: the Sky Striker and VAMP II.

The new Playstation looks too advanced. Video games seem to be moving away from kids. Hopefully this will move kids back to actual toys and start the cycle all over again.
