Thus they glued the torso halves together. Now, however, that all figures are coming around to include holes, I wish they'd just gone ahead and made the torso a screw together assembly. Sure would make customizing that much easier. Not to mention the fact that the thighs still sport shiny silver screws. |

Well, I'm sure someone more informed will correct me should they take the time to read my ramblings.

Has anyone tried just painting the bald heads?
Just curious as to if it was tried yet...I'm contemplating just slapping some paint on there. I realized sculpty/green stuff will hinder the helmet application...but paint should allow it. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

I think painted hair on the troopers would look odd since it would be flat on their head. I'm content to say troopers have to keep their heads shaved.

See I thought that at first NeilJam...but if you use a fine brush...and possible use a toothpick with black highlights....I don't know how it would look.
I may be reaching...I don't know. I never attempted this procedure....but I'm visualizing something in my head. Maybe even just imitating a real tight buzz cut simulated by a "wash".

my only real gripe is the availability.
my cobra legions are completely leaderless as I haven't found a cobra officer yet. same for snake eyes v2(best figure he ever had in my book), here's to hoping the won't redesign him 35 times and focus instead on putting out all the orginal guys. as for the hair situation, I painted high-and-tights and mohawks on all my cobras. working on making them more uniform ie: making all the masks, web gear and knee pads all the same color, since single and box sets are all varied. the logos on the chest will have to stay, can't alter them all silver or red without making a mess of it. only other minor complaint is the fact that I have like 10 dragunov sniper rifles. apparently every cobra soldier/trooper/driver is a marksman. looks like I'll be heading to marauder for some AKs (or maybe some pulse rifles) it'd be nice to see some mock ups of the m56 smart gun, incinerator or robot sentry gun. the berets look great. oh yeah, almost forgot...COBRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! |
