Related question: I ordered replacement stickers for my 25th Rattler from CobraStickers.com. Several of the decals are printed with black text, which makes them almost impossible to see on the dark blue Rattler. Were the vintage stickers also this color, or were they white like the decals that came with the 25th version?

Hey Everyone,
I have a 25th Rattler - one of my favorite vehicles in my collection. I was looking it over yesterday a noticed one of the landing gear had plastic stress marks. Has anyone else had this happen with their 25th rattler? Any cause for concern? Anyone have the rear landing gears brake on this version of the rattler? Thanks! |

Both my rattler and tiger rat and stress marks, rattler just a tiny line, but they are both prepared so I am not sure why. They did not seem to get worse, had them about 7 years, so I'm not to worried if I'm careful.

Yea I was a little bummed out and scared. Almost want to buy another one - i don't think it will break but its a fairly significant stress mark around the whole landing gear. I don't usually put the wheels down on the rattler so i was just surprised to see the stress mark develop. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it.

Not dumb at all. If it's weakened, it'll either be visible cracking, which would be worst case, or it'll "flex" or bend more easily. if it still feels good and rigid (yes, I know- insert joke here!) it's pretty minimal damage and can be fixed pretty easily.
Edit: I actually learned the boiling water trick from a video tutorial a few years back. I'll look around and see if I can't find it again.
