new names = queer!! i hate the change of originality! unless the change includes it to be better lookin' then the older ones, like the vehicles, but the names shall remain the same! imho

yes, because it is clearly an arbitrary decision based on the desire to simply change the name, not legal or business reasons. how would you define a "better looking" name? I didn't know names looked good.

i never said that, how did you you get that out of what i wrote? now that's the question? i don't like change, unless it's in the form of upgrades of the look! name changes are gay, regardless of legal rights. it's queer bottom line! so get salty over my opinion, that so many others relate too! lol...

Back in the day Hasbro had the rights to the Shockwave name because of having both a Transformer and Gi joe figure, but since then have been to use the name for Transformers.
Now it could be they just reacquired the rights to the name, OR they just reacquired it for Transformers, OR they SHARE the rights with Takara/Tomy, who they share the transformers rights with. If it is Either of the last Two then they would still be unable to use it for GIJOE Edit: another option is that Takara Tomy actually has the rights to the name and Hasbro is Leasing off of them for the Transformer. |

Quite frankly.. I don't give a crap about trademark jargon.. blah blah blah. I want original names and original packaging. At least back in the day... you could fill the small space we currently have with like 15-20 different vehicles or playsets. Now we have big ass boxes for little vehicles. But hey.. who am I to argue with the KING DADDY of the GI Joe Toy Universe??!!

Maybe they are trying to protect the name Shockblast for future use as a TF'er. You know, use it or lose it.
We already know that Hasblow doesn't give a rip about the Joes as much as they do TF'ers. Look in the aisles.

As long as we get him, he's still Shockwave to me, and I don't Care if Hasbro says otherwise. I'll just print a sticker with his real name and put it on the stand. problem solved.
