Honestly,there aren't any figures I hope they don't make. If I don't like a character... I don't have to buy him.
Sure, I've bought every Joe from the first three waves, and I intend to get all of wave 5 too, but that's just because they're all pretty cool. =) |

Didn't they remake Doc into a female? Didn't they remake Cover Girl as Agent Courtney something or other? I think, as one poster stated, if actively pray, Hasbro's people will put out the right characters.

I know Hasbro has said there are no plans for a Jinx or Cover Girl in 2008, but I think there ought to be, and eventually not only them, but Bomstrike, Mayday, Vorona/Daina, and any other solid female character out there. There should be more than just Scarlett and Lady Jaye.

Alright, lemme see if I can sort this out; In G.I. Joe "Reloaded," which was an entirely new continuity, "Doc" was Carla Greer, a USAF M.D. In the 2007 convention set, that character got made into Carla Greer, niece of the original Doc. http://www.yojoe.com/action/07/gijoedoc.shtml As for Cover Girl/Agent Courtney Krieger, it's the same character. I believe that she popped up in DDP G.I. Joe Issue 16, and the character had gone on to become an FBI agent or something (I don't want to go dig out the issue to doublecheck) so when they made the figure based on the comic appearance, that was a more appropriate name. Same character, though. Still...so far in the 25th line, we have Baroness, Scarlett, Lady Jaye, and that's all we seem to be getting for the time being. It wouldn't hurt Hasbro to produce more 25th style female characters.

How in god's name could anyone say the line started to decline after 1984 that is totally ludicrous. 1987 rocks!!!! Many of the top figures ever made were made 1987 - 1991 here's a list for those of you who think the line declined when it clearly did not
1.Shockwave 2.Storm shadow v2 3.Falcon 4.tunnel rat 5.Jinx 6.Iron grenadier destro 7.Iron Grenadier 8.Night viper 9.Crimson Guard Immortal 10.Night Creepers 11.Snake eyes v3 12.Techno viper 13.Alley viper 14.Roadblock v4 These are and have been the most popular and valuable monetarily figures of the line if you don't know this just try to buy a complete of 2/3's of these and it will set you back 15 to 20 dollars. So for those of you who think the first part of the line is best, wroooooooooooong, there are many fabulous figures throughout the entire run of the line that many of us want remade in 25th style. |

I agree that there are a lot of figures from the '87-'91 era of Joes that are really awesome and should be made in the new style. But I don't think the value of an old figure has so much to do with it's popularity but more so with the figure's availability and overall rareness.

Really? I don't know, crimson guard stays steady at 15 to 20 dollars and it seems like every collector has tons of them, the same could be said with night viper. You may be right, I guess i always felt ebay price was primarily a popularity of figure issue in most cases. Now that would exclude figures like viper pilot or silver pads grand slam, figures like you said that are rare in decent condition.

Psych-Out. I saw him in a comic yesterday and felt we really don't need a 25th Anniversary version of this lime-green shirt wearing Lobot wanna-be.

The thing is, I totally disregarded his psychological warfare gig (though I realize now that psychological warfare is a powerful tool, and that having a counselor/psychologist as an active member of a SpecForce team is actually a good idea that has happened in RL) and pretended that his little hand-held radar thingamabob was actually some sort of target designator for orbital laser artillery. Really. I think that's pretty imaginative for a 9 year old, if I do say so myself.
