There has been much debate, but last night on my way home from work I saw him.
I know that previously he was thought to be a myth, not seen in 25 years, but I saw him! In the wild. And I have a picture to prove it! Right there in the Wal mart toy aisle I saw (gasp!) a real live 8 year old looking at Joes! I was so shocked that I asked him if he liked those. He said "Yes, I am trying to collect them." "I'm trying to decide which ones to get tonight" he said as he read the back of Beachhead's card. Kids got good taste I thought to myself. Brought a tear to my eye. Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus. And, Yes Tankers, There are Kids buying Joes!! Merry Christmas |

I've also witnessed each of these on at least one occasion: A set of real life parents shopping for Joes for their kids (presumably, I didn't actually see said children) at a Target and a grandmother with... wait for it... a Christmas list (presumably written by a... child) shopping for GI Joe vehicles and sets at TRU (she had a couple sets in her cart). She even asked the employee, "Is this all the GI Joe stuff you all have?"
Now the bad news: Both stores were quite picked over. Come on Hasbro and Retailers, get those new Joes and vehicles out!!! |

I have seen it on occaision, but I liken the sightings to seeing bigfoot or a yeti.

I'm more surprised that you were able to take a picture of a kid like that without his parents or the store freaking out! Petsmart just about ran me out of the store on a rail since I wanted to take a picture of their kittens. They looked at me like I had lobsters crawling out of my ears. Apparently it's very unusual to Petsmart folks to want to take a picture of a kitten...
Glad to see a kid back in the hobby! Sometimes I feel like it's just the adults...

yeah I've yet to see a kid in my neck of the woods even glimpse over at the paultry display of carded joes. All that Chatoic, Bakugon, and movie toyline crap take over everything.
While it's nice of you to share, I really wouldn't go around snapping pics of other people's kids.

That's pretty amazing considering there's no cartoon to support the line. How do kids find out about this? Parents, most likely?
I'm probably going to introduce my nephew to G.I. Joe this Christmas!
