So my Mom and I took my nieces to get Barbies at Target today. While we were there, I checked see if they had gotten any new Joes in. Instead of finding any Joes, I found that there weren't any. In their place, were crappy Beyblades.
Is Target no longer stocking GI Joe? What's the news on your end?

Most likely Target just sold out of whatever GI Joe stock they had left. With no new Joes coming out until the movie does, they filled the empty Joe pegs with Beyblades. Same deal at WM. The only store I've seen with a few Joes still clinging to the pegs is TRU. Can't make money with empty pegs.

It's the same in my area, the only place that has Joe figs or vehicles is TRU.
It seems like Wally beats TRU on the amount of TMNT, and also DC/MU toys, at least around here.

The movie got delayed to next year, along with most of its toyline.
Hasbro was unable to accommodate the sudden plan change (hence why the initial wave of Retaliation was sold at retailers last May), so GI Joe is on hiatus for this fall, as they simply did not have enough lead time to prepare any additional GI joe product for the mass market. TRU (always the exception), is still selling through residual stocks of PoC and 30th, but all the other major retailers have discontinued carrying GI Joe until the movie line relaunches (probably after Christmas).

Hmmmm, for someone that's been on Hisstank for almost four years, you don't keep up with news/sightings. Target pulled all G.I. Joe product from their shelves last month when they did the Fall resets. Don't even get me started with Walmart. Luckily some of you had Targets that clearanced them out, but their not on the current planograms for the resets. Face it Joe doesn't sell as much as we think it does, and retailers only carry toys with a movie attached to it. Paramount, NOT HASBRO, moved the movie to next year. So stores aren't going to carry Retaliation until February 2013. You are not gonna find anything new. If you want to feed your 'Joe plastic crack addiction' hit up TRU & CVS they have been getting the last wave of the 30th Ann and old POC waves are popping up again.

I've been to 2 targets in the past 2 days and they both had Retaliation figs on the shelf, it seems they are putting new cases of the first asst. out at the moment.

The Target by me put out the figures only. However, they were hanging on a weird corner end aisle, away from the action figures.

With the movie on hold, why would anyone expect stores to restock?

Several of my local stores moved all the Joes to an endcap as if they were all about to be clearanced. But today I noticed that one of them had moved the Joes back to the action figure aisle. I took it as a good sign.
