I'm not talking about fixing arms, crotches or that kind of thing. I'm talking about which figures that have come out do you want completely redone and fixed.
For me the biggest would be the Tele-Viper. It's useless to have the Tele-Viper come with the Trouble Bubble. He has no equipment and is a waste of that mold. Putting an equipment-less Viper would have made more sense, or better yet a Trooper. I want a single-carded Tele-Viper with radio backpack (doesn't need the computer like the Arctic set one) and gun.

Wraith. Fixing the arm guns so that the figure is actually posable, and giving him a gun he can actually hold. The armor should also be re-done for increased mobility. I'm not sure it needs to be a vest, the figure could have it sculpted on.
Falcon. The first version was a nightmare. Paint apps wrong, sculpt wrong, the head was pretty bad. Accessories were OK though. We know they can do Tiger-Stripes, look at TF Duke's legs. Iron Grenadiers. CC's body was a stop gap and has posability issues. The Movie MARS Vipers look like IGs, just a head and equipment swap and you're there. My other issues are sculpt issues, Roadblock's hands, Shippy's hands, Scarlett's body, diaper crotch, duke arms etc. |

Hasbro needs to suck it up and completely redo Serpentor, all new sculpt from head to toe. We have three Serpentor's now and they all look like crap. To really look like he's suppose to he needs scales all over his armor, and ditch those stupid gloves, that's not what his hands look like, until they do that he'll never look right. I won't even mention the head, it's been discussed to death. I actually like the skirt that's the only thing I would keep.
I know what the problem is, if they dedicate a mold to a guy covered in scales then they really can't reuse those molds for other characters. Well I think that's too bad, we've dropped enough money into Hasbro over the last year and a half that they can afford to make a couple more molds. |

Serpentor (give him a new head and a more accurate body).
Crimson Guard (make him beefier and redo his head) Steeler (needs a more accurate body...just use Wild Bill's chest/torso, Duke or Hawk legs and the Cobra Trooper's arms and voila! Instant classic Steeler). Leatherneck (give him his original green camo and maybe a new chest....maybe use Firefly/Beachhead's legs, too). Falcon (give him Dusty's torso and TF Flint arms with new gloveless hands.....and a new head for the fans who hated it). Cutter (needs a new head and gloveless hands. Simple). Iron Grenadier (needs a new body sculpt). Short Fuze (assuming Zap has his web gear, just use the CP Duke body, Zap's web gear and maybe use CP Hawk's head, Fred's head or even Trakker's head and we have a classic Short Fuze) Breaker (give him a bearded head and TF arms with gloveless hands). Rock N Roll (give him TF arms with gloveless hands). Ace (needs a new body that's more accurate to the old figure) Tele Viper (give him his gear and use TF Flint arms with gloveless hands and maybe Wild Weasel's legs) I am probably forgetting a couple. Those are my major ones, though. Funny thing is, I've already fixed about half of these myself. I want to fix R'NR and Breaker myself, but I've been slow to "fixing" those guys.

I do not like that head at all, it looks almost exactly like some guy I used to work with, anyway he needs a bald head with removable hat, that way you can use the same head on other versions of the character. It's been said before but, at the very least every character should have a unique head. Last edited by BigErn; 12-09-2008 at 02:58 PM.. |
