So, I've gotten lucky again. Here in western Tennessee the stores seem veeeerrrrrrryyyy slow to get the single-carded waves (I've only in the last couple of weeks seen an occasional Mutt & Junkyard, so that tells you how far behind we are). But, for some reason, the comic packs and DVD packs tend to get here quicker.
I scored the Scrap Iron/Wild Bill and Beach Head/Mainframe comic packs a couple of months ago and still haven't seen any in the stores anywhere since. Now, I've just got my hands on the fifth DVD Battles set, with Alpine! This is one figure I've been looking forward to for a while now and it does not disappoint. The Cobra Commander with "shiny" vacuuform face is good, too. The Duke and Cobra Soldier, not as much... but the pack is worth it for Alpine alone. Now you know... |

Chattanooga TN:
Gunbarrel Target HAD Wave 11 revision (no Airborne). Now they're down to 1 peg cluttered with IG Destro. Gunbarrel Kohl's HAD Wave 10 and new comic packs. Now just SE/Hard Master. Gunbarrel TRU don't have squat. Wal-Marts don't have squat post-wave 9. No FANGs, No Dusty/Quick Kick DVDs. No wave 10-13, nada. Tennessee sucks big moose.

Union City, about an hour and a half north of Memphis. I've gotten the Dust and Quick DVD sets ehre, too, but nothing as far as vehicles or carded figures.
Sorry -- not too far from Fort Campbell, but sadly, I haven't seen any more Alpine DVD packs. These racks are back to being full of revision waves and Hiss tanks. |
