IDK, it really depends on how awesome the toys were. If the Joed looked like action stars from the 80's (kind of like how some of the PoC guys looked like they were from Predator) then I most definately would. The line would need some bad-ass vehicles and play features too, but yeah, I'd be down for it.

If they scrapped the ARAH characters and the never ending Duke vs Cobra Commander, and gave us completely new characters I would bite.
i bought Extreme, Savage, and Sigma. I might... might.... pick up a 6 inch here and there of ARAH characters but I really dont need or see the point of more Duke, more Snake Eyes etc in yet another different size. are you thinking Marvel Legends type figures?

I think that they would be able to release 6" Joes with a bunch of accessories and webgear for the same price as a Marvel Legend figure since they wouldn't have to pay any royalties. Just look at the 4" Joes versus the 4" Marvel figures. Same price, but the Joes get a lot more stuff.
I've always wanted an ML-style line of Joes, but I wouldn't really be looking for it to replace the current line. I'd just like something like two or three six figure series a year. The new ML's are some of the best 6" figures I've seen, so if they were at that level, I'd buy them. Maybe they could make the BAF a RAM. |

Vehicle wise, you really couldnt go to big. As I said in my original post, things like the RAM, Mirage or Night Landing Craft, Ferrets or a kayak like what v2 Stalker came with. Could probably manage a Jeep like an up scaled VAMP, or Ive always liked the Adventuer team Mobile base. More or less. |

They won't jump in scale ever again. Production costs are too high, requiring a higher price point. Unless you have an established brand like Legends and DC Universe, it's too much of a risk to change things up by going big.

People already complain about spending $8 - $10 for a 4" figure, I can't even imagine what they would think about dropping $16 on a 6" figure. That would be tough for even me to rationalize.
Once you start throwing all of these crazy accessories at the figure, you could be talking about $20 - $25 a whack. No thanks. In my opinion, they can incorporate the exact same level of detail and articulation on a 4" figure, why upscale now? 6" stuff used to offer more alternatives for added articulation or detail, but when the 4" figures can now do that, why bother making 'em bigger? |
