Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to the boards and not sure if this topic has come up yet... if so I apologize;
I'm starting to develop a big enough collection of 25th anniversary figs that original joes have become outmoded, outdated and obsolete. When Star Wars relaunched in 95 or so the same thing happened. I used to love playing with my 70's and 80's figs. For a while I had the 2 mixed in scenes. Then there just came a point where the old ones held no more value to me. They looked cheap and didn't work. I've reached that with the 25th line. I look at all my org figs and they just seem rather childish now. Am I the only one? |

I love the 25th figures, but they will never matter to me like my vintage ones. This line is all about nostalgia, and the source of that nostalgia, for me, is the old toys and cartoon.

I was probably being a bit harsh, and my language a little too strong. I display my figures, I doing action scenes, battle scenes, briefing room stuff whatever... and I just can't even use my classic RAH figs, they don't look right. And to answer your question about selling my collection, like Luke told X-Wing tech #27 or whoever in regards to replacing R2... not on your life, we've been through a lot together.

The 25th line will be the only line for me. If I ever find my few old figures in storage, they will be sold
