Hard to find right now: Airborne
Look at how many upcoming revision packs he's going to be in, though. Just like BAT's, Armor CC, Bludd, etc. Don't pay price-gouging ripoff prices. The Joes will flow.

It is absolutely a bad idea to pay above retail for a general release figure - I mean this guy isn't even a variant, fercryinoutloud! The only reason that he's hard to find right now is that his wave hasn't reached wide distribution. Give it time. In five years, you'll be able to find any figure in the line for five bucks and all the variants for under $25. I saw it with Star Wars in the '90s and it's going to happen with Joes in the '00s.
Look, I understand that you want him....lots of us want him. But if you pay triple his retail price just to have him *now* than all you're doing is encouraging sellers to charge prices like this......then, next thing you know, we'll all be sitting around complaining about 'scalpers'. Remember the old adage - "a fool and his money are soon parted"? I can't prove it, but I think Tusser was talking about impatient toy collectors.....

I would wait for him to show up before shelling out that kinda of cash for him. I want him badly as well but will not pay that price

I just ordered an entire case. You can get the figure you want plus all the other cool ones in that wave. I really like wave 13 and everything that Hasbro has put out so far. YO JOE!

personally I love the hunt. Way more exciting when I find them at the store and I get to inspect them and check the quality control on them. Plus thats a crap load of money for a very over-rated piece of plastic.

It's been my experience that collectors collect partially to have the stuff and partially so they can show off the stuff they have for the adulation of other collectors. With that in mind, here's my rant:
I can't speak for anyone else, but I really don't admire people who overpay to get new stuff early. I also don't admire people who throw money at collections....it's easy to build armies out of items that you can find at Wal-Mart (that's not collecting, it's shopping). Personally speaking, what I admire in a collection is when someone works hard to find something that's truly rare or hard to find....building contacts, making connections, putting in the work - that's impressive. Waiting forever to find that deal on the Gold Head Steel Brigade? That impresses me. That guy who spends ten years tracking down a rare Funskool figure from the early 90s, when only a half dozen are known to exist? He's who I admire as a collector, not some guy with 100 25th anniversary Cobra Troopers or some guy who gets Blowtorch a month before I can.
