I was looking at this on yojoe (I'm missing a few of the vehicles to complete mine ) but I was wondering has any one used this playset in conjunction with modern joes to see how well they go together ?

I haven't actually tried it with modern figures as I've only made it like once (hardly worth the effort). The catalogue photo Yojoe.com uses isn't really acurate. It's not actually much of a 'fortress.'
That being said, I'm sure modern era figures could still make use of it. Check this thread out for some pics. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...-fortress.html |

It doesn't even go together well with the ARAH Joes. The fortress was an awesome concept/idea but the execution was terrible. It just looks awful put together.

If it were done today as a M.A.S.K. /Joe subset I'd buy it!

I hope Hollywood makes a M.A.S.K. Movie that they can f*** up.
Then Hasbro can release more worthless Movie figures that we'll buy to make better customs out of them. Can you sense the sarcasm? 'cause I really want some 1/18th scale Mobile Armored Strike Kommand figures.

hahahahaha... BF 2000, or BS 2000 as I call it, was a super joke.
Even as a kid, I thought it was crappy. As an adult, it is a laughable shout out to The Corps! line of awfulness...

I wonder if it would have been any better had the individual pieces been able to lock together.

I really like the BF 2000 figures, and many of the vehicles are cool in their own right, while others needed to be repurposed to work. I never tried to put together the Fortress, knowing the pieces didn't snap together killed the interest for me as a kid.

As a kid I didn't like having to buy the figure 2-packs and vehicles seperate.
Made no sense to me when G.I. Joe had been selling vehicles with figures for years prior.
