Here's one point we have yet to make (some of you hinted at it).
Look at the PTE soldier figures. Look at ANY other 3 3/4 military line. Hasbro GI Joe 25th scale KICKS ALL THEIR ASSES. Imagine the possibilities if Hasbro cracked their knuckles on VEHICLES???

It's a nice thought, but i have a feeling that the movie figures will look better on other companies' rides than on anything Hasbro does for the movie line.
Will it be movie accurate? No, but that snow mobile thing sure isn't inspiring any confidence. |

I think Hasbro has stayed away from the vehicles because so many companies are making better, and less expensive stuff. They are focusing on the figures because only they make Joe figures, so they have no competition there.

They can charge me more for product equal in quality to the other brands. They know we'll pay it! So why not give us a brand new, properly scaled Sky Striker and charge me 65 bucks. I'll cry in financial distress and ignorant bliss at the same time!

Agreed, but that side by side comparison of the Abrams and Mobat is enough to make me second guess myself and take another look. I know exactly where you are coming from and I'm there with you. When I was a kid if it didn't say GI JOE I wasn't interested. I think back to all the SGT ROCK and other rip off Joes I received as a kid only to toss them aside as inferior product. Never to be played with and banished from my Joeverse.
That's in no way a fair comparison though. A side by side comparison with the Patriot Grizzly, or even the Mauler is much more apropo and the Grizzly is head and shoulders the best toy tank made. |

I agree...the last GI Joe vehicle that I was just proud of innovation and creativity was the 2005 ROCC and RHINO. Granted, for nostalgic reasons I will buy certain vehicles that released on the Joe line but have since started buying other vehicles from other lines. There were some GI Joe Vehicles from the VvV line that I really liked though like the Humvee.
Granted I'm a cheapass when it comes to these other lines....it's like I won't mind paying for GI Joe stuff but these other lines, I prefer to look for other deals. You know...remember seeing something at TRU...something with an aircraft hangar....never took the time to really look at it though.
