While the package won't mesh with other vintage figures (but, then again, neither does Grand Slam, Short Fuze, etc...) I have no doubts that the figure itself will fit in with the other Original 13 figures.
He may get a vest or something over the top that can be removed, but I feel pretty comfortable with thinking that the Resolute Zap will still be the familiar Zap we all know and love. Justin |

Based on how Tunnel Rat, and to a degree Shockwave look, they seem to be keeping the New Resolute figures pretty close to the originals if this is their first release in the Modern Era.
Therefore, I would Assume that Zap will be slightly different from his classic form, but still will fit in perfectly well. By the way, does anyone have news on whether Shockwave and Tunnel Rat come with their packs? |

I'm not convinced Zap will be Resolute, typically the first release is a classic incarnation, just like Shockwave and Tunnel Rat, neither are Resolute, they are clearly ARAH designs. I too agree, even if its Resolute, it will be close enough to work as a original 13, with a web gear swap, not like we are getting a real Zap/Shortfuse web gear anyway.

So we know that Zap is coming up in Wave 14, which shouldn't be that far away. We also know that he's part of the RESOLUTE line, and will have a RESOLUTE card as well as a RESOLUTE character design.
So will we ever "really" get the original 13? Hopefully this is just a nitpick and the figure will match the others. However, I'm probably going to store him loose with most of the rest of the 13. The RESOLUTE cards don't even come close to matching the originals and that's a real bummer. I'd also hate to buy the Wave 14 version just to have them release a new "more accurate" figure later on. What do you guys think? how do you know he's in wave 14? |

I not only hope Zap is OG in his OD's, but that he comes with the correct web gear as well. Alyosha's custom casts look great but they're a bit pricey... I'd rather just pick up a second Zap and fix up Short Fuse.
