Ok, Depriest pretty much said that the canceled/prototype figures were there for display only, and most likely would not be made. But he hinted that nothing was off the realm of possibility( especially since they are already designed ). And if you look several have already made it into the Retaliation line, just as repaints or what not; like the Joe Trooper. So my question is why not make these figures into completely awesome 7-pack( that we all dream of ); and what figures would you want? 1 Joe 7-pack and 1 Cobra pack, and ONLY PICK figures that were on display as the canceled/prototype figures at the Con. For me:
Joe Pack: 1. Flint, my god this figure just screamed awesome! He has his classic look, but taken into a great modern figure as well. We Need this figure! 2. Hit and Run, I mean look at how proverbial bad ass this figure is and could have been. Makes the 25th look like a big turd. Why wasn't it made anyway? 3. Beach Head, great figure, and people have been making this custom for 2 years anyway. 4. Lady Jaye, great updated figure. 5. Kwinn, uh it is Kwinn. 6. Grunt, At least I think it is a modern Grunt. But, the figure looks great. 7. Clutch, figure looks awesome. Cobra: 1. Night Ops Crimson Guard( Shadow Guard ), man this figure looks great. 2. Cobra Officer, Awesome awesome needed figure. 3. Stinger Driver, another awesome figure that is needed. 4. Tele-Viper, man look how cool that figure is. I really want this guy made. 5. Heat-Viper, could be awesome 6. Laser-Viper, ditto 7. Crimson Guard Immortal, Love that head sculpt. Please, please, please, do these Hasbro. |

Love the idea. I wonder though. Where would the 7-packs find a home? BBTS has done 7 packs in the past, it would be awesome if they would do it again. Or maybe the Collector's Club? Regardless, we have GOT to get that Flint/Lady Jaye/Beachhead/Barbecue, etc. released. Those molds just look too awesome to waste!!

A lot of these were PoC style updates of figures done in the 25th line. It was basically the Slaughter's Marauders one done in the original colors.

That gold headed Steel Brigade, Joe Naval NOMAD Diver & Joe Night Ops Raven or whatever they called him would be nice to get as well as the Tele-Viper, Cobra Officer, Stinger Driver, HEAT-Viper, Laser-Viper, Snow Serpent, Crimson Guard Immortal, Shadow Guard, Shipwreck, gray Viper, Heavy Alley-Viper, Eel & Hit 'N Run. Please

I am sorry, it got me thinking to. In a different direction it appears. I cant believe that after seeing all those canceled prototypes.......We still got Arctic Destro, and the stupid ninja action Snake Eyes and Storm Sahdow and Multiple Dukes and Snake Eyes figures again and again from POC through the 30th line. Not to mention the Vamp 2 (2-times......2-times!)
I want to be a fan, and keep collecting but Hasbro is going to have to restore my faith. After seeing all those cool figures that "could have been." Add that to the insult of the weak wave 1. Added to the Year+ wait for the rest of the movie line (the better half too, I.M.O!) |

Added to the Year+ wait for the rest of the movie line (the better half too, I.M.O!) SE, SS, CC, Duke and Destro will always have figures made and sprinkled through out the lines. They are the core figures of the brand. The VAMP 2 did not get good distribution the first time around, so they gave it to us again with a beautiful Steel Brigade Delta. These figures may yet be released. Instead of thinking negatively about it, post what you would like to see made...
