I and my wife have spoken to the toy manager and the manager regarding them never ordering the new single packs of joes. they kept giving me the same line that they are hot sellers and don't stay on the hooks for long. I know that is false because i am there every day early in the morning and they have only ordered one case since the line began. Consequently i discovered on black friday instead of solving the problem they took down all the hooks for the new joes and replaced them with lanard core figures this made me very irate. I wonder how we can alert Hasbro to wal marts crumy handling of the new line. I have heard many of you across the country have been getting joes in stores, but in tulsa ok. its been awful even at target and tru. We just need some product, and its not happening.

TRU=no pegs for them Kmart=no pegs for them walmart=2 pegs for them It makes you wonder,is it really scaplers or just stores not ordering any. |

One of my Walmarts (The best one actually) had 4 pegs of Joes a week or two ago. Now they're down to one peg with no Joes and the other 3 are filled with Power Rangers now. However there are stacks upon stacks of 5 packs.
I think they maybe didn't see a difference between 5 packs and singles and figured Joe is Joe so now they're stuck with a glut of 5 packs and since they're not selling, Wally world probably figures why should they order more Joe product when what they have won't sell (Never mind the fact that singles sell better than 5 packs) This reminds me of Target last year, they had those Melinium Falcon Transformers all over the place for most of the year, they finally were able to get rid of them when they marked them down to $15, so what do they do? They order more of them! They probably figured, hey these things are selling like hot cakes! We should order some more (Disregarding the fact that they sat on shelves for months not moving at regular price and started selling when the price was cut in half....of course when they re-ordered, the price was back to normal  ) |

LOL! This is so crazy but I just recently landed a job at the Toys R Us in Jersey and I been asking around on why they are not ordering the stuff they need or have sold out of on the shelves. This is the reply I got from my supervisor "We never order anything the computer orders everything and decides on weather we need it or not and if a product of the same toy name like say GIJOE Sigma Six is sitting on the shelf for a month, then the computer doesn't order nothing GIJOE. Also if we Sell like say we sold out of the 50 Sigma Six Para Trooper Duke on Black Friday well the next order put down on the computer was Sigma Six The ROCC and we get 20 of these so we can fill the shelf and so on until we get to the figures''. We too at the Toys R Us in Jersey had 4 pegs and now we have none but we have $H!T load of 5 packs that didn't get touched on Black Friday but we did sell out of those Sigma Six para troopers, when they dropped the price to $8.99.

I have about seven Walmarts near me. I have only found the 25th Joes at one of them. None of the others have pegs for them. Target, KMart and TRU are the places I have seen them and I have not bought any at KMart since they like charging more for their stuff.

I don't know how these are getting order, but I'm starting to think that it's not scaplers. The two Targets I go to have the shelf tag, but no figures. K-Mart doesn't have any shelf tags, yet they put the 5 packs on the top shelf. Wal-Mart has shelf tags for the carded ones, but no figures. Toys R Us....well I know the one I go to has a collector who works there. It's been stated by the other TRU employees that he buys them everytime they come in (not cool ). The last time I was there they had them close to and end cap on those (what's the word) half ass pegs. The ones that holds batteries. The other TRU (near the Dayton Mall) Seems that everyone and there brother is going there. Last time I was there they had 5 packs for $30. Everybody else has them for $24-$25, and I'm pretty sure TRU isn't throwing in a bottle of KY with your purchase. So I wouldn't buy them there.
The reason I don't think it's Scalpers, I also collect Star Wars figures and when I can't get a Joe I'll pick up an SW dude. IMHO if it was scalpers then I would also have the same problem finding certain SW figs. Like the animated debute Boba Fett or any of the gold coined figures. I've never had a problem getting any SW in any store. Which I think is really surprising. |

There are 5 Wal-Marts I check on a regular basis when hunting for Joes around here. All of them have been pretty good about restocking, and getting them up a week or so after a new wave is first sighted. I have started to see a big stockpile of Joe and Legions 5 packs at all of them. The Targets and TRU's have been very slow to restock.

The best way to get service at Wal-Mart is to call there hotline and complain. This will go to a district MGR and they will try and help you.
1800-WALMART Give it a try. |
