So, I was thinking, how much do the members of this great forum spend on 25th Joes? Considering they are possibly planning on putting the line on hold for the film, perhaps Hasbro might find a rough estimate interesting.
And in this spirit, I decided to submit the amount I have spent on 25th Joes/vehicles/comic packs and the like, as well as how much I plan on spending with upcoming figures and vehicles that I plan on purchasing. I ask that you, good forum reader, do the same if you wish, and I will tally up the amount in 1 week. I think it would be interesting to see. So, tally up all the 25th merchandise you have and you plan on buying. If you want to include customs, go ahead, but for simplicity, I did not. My total stands at- $855. Damn.... That's a lot to a poor college kid like myself... Well, at least I can say that buying Joes doesn't leave me any money left over for drugs. Stay in school, kids! |

That is a number I guard like it's fort knox. If my wife asks, I've spent $10 bucks, which is a hell of a deal for buying pretty much everything that's been released including each of the single cards twice.

I don't collect MOC, so only 1 of each for the figs (still missing a few) on average of 6$ each. Then you have the comic packs at @ 11$ 2 dvd packs so far, Target planes. I'm gonna say way too much and leave it there. Over 300$ easy.

Um, Hasbro does collect this kind of information. It's called sales figures. Hasbro knows much better than we do how much money has been spent on the line. They do market research for this, they employ people trained to interpret the data...a completely informal survey on a website is not going to tell Hasbro anything.

Not really a number I'm proud of. But hey, its better than alcohol, cigarettes or drugs.
Probably over a grand Canadian - mind you over more than a year, that isn't too bad. |

There's no way of tracking what I've paid for on this stuff... I've done so much buying, selling, trading, swapping... my collection is trimmed, but I've got a lot of time invested.
As for money spent, it could be worse... I could be doing heroin. That's what I used to tell my parents about comic books, anyway... haha. |
