Not in a million years. The 8" figs were a total turnoff. It was because of them being shoved in my face everywhere I went that I stpped collecting for about a year. 3 3/4, 1:18 scale, however you want it, thats the only scale for me. Hell I have a truckload of 12" crap on ebay right now I can't even give away. And a 15-20 pricepoint???? Not in this economy. heck, not even in a booming economy could I fork over 20 bucks a pop for single 8" figures. My prediction would be that if these ever were a reality, they would be collecting dust on shelves up here where I live, right next to the S6 stuff. |

I don't even like the 12" figures. My son, who is 5 calls them Barbie Dolls. So you can see my aversion to anything but action figures.

Not in Sigma Six style, but more like the 70's Mego figures would be a "yes" for me. Looking back, I guess I had the knock offs of the Mego line, but basically the same. I still have most of mine. Lion Rock Heroes of WWII Gallery: Mego Museum

I dunno. I might buy 1 or 2 depending on what character (CC and SE) and if it looks cool. I just don't see myself buying them like the 3 3/4 figures, besides I only was ever really into the small joes growing up. I'd say no but kinda yes I guess.

No sirree.
I've never had any interest in action figures above 3-3/4" (i don't even like Marvel Legends) on top of that, i thought the sigma six style of figures was an abomination on par with the current Animated Transformers, completely off-putting to me.

Yeah I really have to agree. I'm getting a little tired of how all the cartoons I grew up on are changing into animes. It's like kids won't touch anything unless it has a cartoon from Japan attatched to it. But I guess it does keep kids away from all the 25th anniversary figures. MORE FOR ME!!!

The debate of the week will focus on the 8" G.I. Joe Body Style.
Our question of the week: Would You Purchase G.I. Joe 8" Classic RAH Figures At The $20.00 Price Point? The idea of a Classic 8" RAH Line I'm sure has been kicked around at least once or twice up at Hasbro, however there has never been any official mention of any such line. With that said if Hasbro's G.I. Joe Team started to produce - bring back the 8" line with new updated heads, weapons and gear that fit in with the Classic look of RAH would you support this effort? Please keep in-mind, this is Not A Debate on how bad the Sigma 6 Cartoon was. We all have been there, done that and have washed the t-shirt several times already. This debate should revolve around the Action Figure Body Style. Did you like the figures? If so way? If you hated them why and how could they have been improved? If you were to design the 8" RAH line what figures, weapons and gear would you use? The last debate went really well. Everybody respected the opinions of others and stated their case. I know this is more of a sensitive subject so just try to be open minded and respect the ideas of your fellow board members. Hell ya I would! |

there is no reason that joes should have an 8 in. line, i'd rather have good 12" figs

BIG EFFIN NO!!! I like the 3.75 inch line for more than enough reasons. Some of the biggest reasons are cost(they cost enough already)and there are ALOT of Joe characters out there. At $20.00 a pop I am at $260.00+tax just for the original 13.Then there is the issue of space,3.75 takes up enough space on the shelves as it is 8" figs would be to much for me space wise.I also like the idea of vehicles and playsets for my joes.Do you know how big the vehicles and playsets would have to be for 8" figs? There would most likely be very few.Hell no,not for me.I would never buy these.

Can we please stop with the Hasbro worshipping.
They need to stick to the basics. No more 8" figures and keep classics coming...trust me you will continue to do well.
