then you need to be even more selective about it.
Just because some have a hard time collecting that shouldn't have repercussions on people that can afford to do this hobby. I cut back on ALOT of other stuff to be able to afford the Joe 25th ann, and I was just expecting a few waves, now I am totally excited about 95% of things coming out. I think everyone is pretty much affected by the economy, but that is the persons responsibility to learn how to budget. I would love to buy more vintage sealed items and more statues and comic art, but I know I can't do it. For me this is extrmely affordable and I can decide if I want to make multi purchases or just buy one of everything. Better to be out of debt and have no toys than be in debt to feed your addiction. Believe me I have been down that road many of times. |

Also getting 3 of each SS 12" figures It is the same thing with Sideshow, if these 12" figs do well, there WILL be statues, I already got a confrim from workers at SS this past sdcc, and it looks like it will happen because I believe the exclusive and regular versions of CC and SE have sold out. |

Of course SS is a must, but I am hoping for a Firefly and am curious how The Baroness will turn out. |

There is a ton out there. Since I just started in september, I've dropped a tonload of money in a short amount of time.
I want to army build, but it's hard, so I limit myself to 2-3 of specialist characters (Bazooka trooper, para-viper) and 6 of the troopers (snow serpants, vipers, troopers, CGs, IGs, etc..). Since I got a comic pack Scarlett, I'm not going to go crazy to get a single carded. I'm being selective that way. I don't try to go out and get every version of every commander, but sometimes I'll suck it up and get the multiple CCs and Dukes and SEs because I want the rest of it (the dvd pack, etc..). But yeah, there is a ton of stuff out there and there's no let up in sight.

I am not a big fan of the CP's either, except for the Twins, I prefer everything on single card, not to mention I buy 2 of every comic pack so I can get the comic, I usually sell the figures, but have kept the Firefly and Wild Weasel.

Seeing all the reports lately of the stuff rolling in, (W10,11,12, CPw6, Tgt Battle Pack, etc.,etc.) my toy fund is taking a serious hit.
When I first started the 25A line, I was determined to get one of everything produced. I also decided to 'mildly' army-build, limiting myself to a max of 6 for certain characters. So, other than complete repaints (see:SRO Cobra Pack #1) or odd-exclusives, I've spent a lot of $$$ on Joes. Is anybody else feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff we're seeing? What things have you passed on that you'd like, but $$$ is short? First people complain about there not being enough product and now people are complaining that there is TOO MUCH product? WTF guys. This is totally stupid. Would you rather have no GI Joes at all??? BTW. Just because a lot of stuff comes out all at one time doesn't mean you have to buy it all instantly and break your wallet. Be happy that new Joe figs are coming out. Stop complaining. Stop whining. Stop acting like little kids. Enjoy your collecting. Buy what you want. If your're a completist, manage your money and buy stuff over time. It's not like this Joe stuff is gonna be hard to come by in the future. Bottom Line: BE HAPPY THAT THERE IS EVEN A GI JOE LINE TO COLLECT!!! Yo Joe! |
