Dollar General Joes

I love the Dollar General Joes. Simple packaging, few but cool weapons, stand and decent sculpts for unmade characters ....$6 First Duke I have bought in ages.

Movie figures, kinda crap, overly done gimmicks, no stand, very bland weapons .......$10

hmmm...

I think Hasbro is overshooting the movie figures at a price point most parents do not want to pay when they can do something so much simpler at a lower price point.

thoughts?

most parents dont know DG Joes exist and most kids dont know GI JOE exists.

If they can put cool Joes out at DG at that price point, why jack it up with nonsense every where else?

Also, if where you live, DG does not exist to most parents, congrats to you. Your community must be very well off.

Most of the Dollar General Stores near me don't have these. Either they've not stocked them or other persons have bought them all.

Dollar General Stores have done well throughout the years with continually stocking some kind of Joe figures. It's always neat to see them on the shelf, whatever they are.

Still too expensive.

Word on the street is that the mini-heros have been marked for clearance and have been moved to make a place for the DG Joes. and, that a toy isle reset is taking place near you. check it out!

Can someone help me out with a shipwreck and 1 or 2 black cobra troopers?

I'm hoping these go to Family Dollar then everyone can have them; I never remember the VvV FD figures having so much controversy.

The most likely reason behind the price hike is these are movie figures, Paramount gets a cut of the sales and Hasbro still wants to make some $$ on them too. Otherwise, reduced articulation, no stands, no file cards, shitty gear, blaw packaging = higher prices? Kind of the opposite that almost everyone else would think would happen, hell, even Bobble Head Einstein can't believe they raised the prices for them!
