Hey, at least you got one. They haven't cashed my check yet, and I don't believe they ever will. Looks like my collection is gonna be short one Doc.
I have been lucky enough to only once had a shipment crushed, and it was when I ordered 3 Firebats and 2 Sharcs. It looked like they had gone through a meat grinder! I feel your pain, but be glad you got one. Glad to hear the figure itself wasn't damaged.

All you gotta do is call up Hasbro and complain. They will, or should, send you out a new Doc. This exact same thing happened to a friend. Two of his Docs came all ninja kicked and Hasbro sent him two new ones after he sent them back.

That sux. I got mine that way too. The box had tire marks on the corner of the box if you can believe that. The figure and card were good, no damage. Lucky for me.

pretty hard actually. Thats a federal crime that equals jail time. USPS sorting factories and such are pretty secure and pretty well monitored. The real damage and/or missing items occur during the transport from the Overseas Factories to the Hasbro warehouse to the postal sorting factory. I would say the USPS has these items in their hands the least amount of time.
the place the really destroys/jacks your stuff is UPS. If you have ever been in their sorting warehouse you would know why. Think of those guys you see on the street corner begging for cash, or the dudes holding the "store closing" signs. Well those are the people who work the loading docks for the most part. These loading/unloading/sorting jobs are all "on call/temp" jobs and you make very little money. Those people could give a shit, and 9 times out of 10 when you have a box marked "best buy" or something of value like that you will receive it missing the items you ordered. I ordered a $300 MP3 from bestbuy.com and the box said "best buy" and had the contents and the value of it printed on the box. Well i received and empty box because of that. A friend of ours ordered a computer online, and again the contents and value were printed on the box. The item was shipped through UPS and he receive a box with a bag of sand in it. Probably a sand bag in the factory used to block water from coming in the loading dock as they are pretty common to find in these places. anyways, i have sent and received 1000's boxes through the USPS and never had a single problem. |

I got mine last Friday in a crushed box and feared the worse. Only a little damage to the corner of the star case but not a big deal since I collect loose figures. Sucks for the MOC collectors though. It is definitly a box issue. They cheaped out on them big time.
