kitbash as i understand it is simply putting a new joe together from existing parts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Kitbash is an old plastic modelers term for creating something from parts from several different model kits, I guess that transfers well for using parts from different figures!

If I may add my thoughts...
What they said. I understand it as mixing parts as is = kitbashing. Doing the same but painting the parts = Customizing or is it all customizing and kitbashing is required to get the proper parts to make the custom you like. |

basically take every joe you have apart, every piece...throw those into a huge plastic bin and then start randomly sellecting parts to piece together a new figure outta of all of your parts...thus "kitbashed"..its more fun then legos...the possibilities are endless

I think Kitbashing is to make a "new" custom figure by not using paint. Where as a custom figure you would apply paint to the figure.
