So, i just got a lot of figures on a pretty good deal. So i open them out of their baggies and they REEK of cigarettes! the figures had what i thought was dust on them but it was, in fact, nicoteine. I have since scrubbed them (and their accessories) twice with a toothbrush and dish soap. the nicoteine is gone now and they are all shiny and new but they still REEK of cigarettes. Do any of you have any advice for me? I don't want my nephews to play with these until that odor is gone.
Thanks in advance Tenken |

It's happened to me quite a few times. Stick them outside for a few days. Place them all in a open box under some shade and let them air out.

Vinegar, but it could rust screws. White vinegar shouldn't hurt colors.

I don't know if this works on figures but I heard ammonia mixed with water helps takes some of the odor. Or try citrus juices , it might do the trick.

Old car rental trick- wrap them individually in bounce and place over a vent for a day.
