Why does everybody think that these 25th anniversary figs are gonna be worth tons of money overnight. In maybe 10years from now yes, but now, I don't think so.
Do you think just because you get that figure graded by the piece of sh-t for a company called AFA it up the value of your figures. AFA is ripping you off, I bet it will cost you more to grade your figures than it would to sell them. AFA can burn in hell. |

I like them, but I don't like them.
I like how if people missed a figure, they have another chance to get it. I originally started a MOC collection. I couple months ago, I started a loose collection too. With the recarded figures, I can buy them to open them up, and its no big deal, cause there not on the 25th card. I don't like how they are shipping out to many recarded figures, which are taking up room on the pegs, room that could be used for Wave 10. Some people that are MOC collectors don't like the recarded figures, cause they want the figure MOC on the 25th card, not the white card. Any figure that was released on a 25th card, I own MOC, if I missed a couple figures, I would want them on a 25th card, not a white card.

Look, it's not that big a deal. Any 25th still carded will end up retaining their value and I'm sure someone along the way will come up with a way to be able to tell which loose figures were original 25th carded and which were revision cards.
I'm glad they are re-issuing the figures. There was no way in hell I was going to pay some of the prices that were being asked for the figures. If they are still packaged, then maybe, but loose there was no way I was going to spend $15+ for a Beachhead. I'm just happy I was able to pick Beachhead up today for $7.

I'm good with it. Helps satisfy the desire for single-carded versions of comic packs, provides profitability for Hasbro (and hence more product for us), and we get improved figures like DVD/Extreme Conditions Bludd.
Like everyone else I wish there were less, but whatcha gonna do?

I don't think most of the revisions are necessary if we get the figure retooled later down the line which seems to be the case atm. We're even getting an "ultimate" Flint soon in the G.I.Joe 5-pack #2. Most loose collectors will definitely want that Flint rather than the old duke arms/slit wrists version.
Revisions are a good thing if we knew that the figures wouldn't be getting any retooling done in that particular mold & original cartoon/comic color. And if it would be the only original accurate version or if the other option of a release would be a plain old boring or neon colored repaint with the same weapons the original has. I rather have retooled figures instead of a revision. Small fixes to an existing sculpt with the same original comic/cartoon colors are way better imo. |

I like the idae of the revision waves a lot. People who just pick up the hobby don't have to pay $25-30 for Flash.
But I agree the choice of who to re-release was a bit of a mystery. Was Wild Bill off the shelves so long he need to be in a revision case? Blue Baroness? Roadblock V2? What about V1 Storm Shadow? Duke? Scarlett? A corrected black outfit Baroness? Those should have been re-released before Jet Pack Duke and Wild Bill. (especially since we're getting Wild Bill in the SRO & comic pack with Scrap-Iron) |

To me it is a good idea for characters that are hard to find now, like FireFly or someone, bad idea for Spirit and Wave 7 Duke.

I think the revisions are a great idea. There was outrage over distribution problems and people not being able to get the figures they wanted, so Hasbro works them into revision cases. Now people complain that we've got TOO MUCH product... poor 'Bro can't win. ;)
I think adding the different logo's is a neat idea, too, to at least make them a bit different, even if it's a 1 inch square corner at the top of the package. Justin |
