To be honest I think it is pretty cool. I never had opened a single package till I got some of the revision stuff.
Now I just hope I do not open everything!

Don't hold me to it, but I'm fairly certain they said black Timber and yellow Stalker were not coming back.

I don't think the revision cases are a bad idea, but the choices of which figures to re-release seem to be a little ill planned. Jet pack Duke comes to mind, as well as the Viper. Not that they are horrible figures, but they don't seem to be as popular as say the BAT or Snow serpent. Another observation is fairly recent figs popping up in revision cases. Blue Baroness, Python Officer and Roadblock V2 for example. And we all know that Wild Bill has replaced Buzzer as THE peg warmer. All in all I like revisions, just not necessarily the choices of said revisions.

Great for the collector because they can find the item easily.
Bad for the collector because they can find the item easily. Anyone collecting toys these days in hopes of the value increasing is fooling themselves.
Why new toys will never increase in value. (with very rare exception)...
1) They make millions of these things, nothing is rare.
2) Manufacturers and Box stores have taken over the secondary market. Case in Point...$8 figure price point. That used to be the average sale price on eBay, now it's the store price. No secondary market, no value increase.
3) Collectors do not want to pay over retail for anything, thereby cutting the value of their own collection. The toys are only as valuable as someone is willing to pay for it.
Honestly guys, I own a webstore, you do not see very many new items there, and you rarely will, because we just can't compete with the box stores. If I spent $1,000,000 a year with Hasbro I would not be promised what I ordered, and it would always hit retail first, oh... and my price would be more than Wal-marts retail.
It's been this way since the nineties, pretty sad.
I will have some 25th items going online soon, but my price point probably will not excite most of you at $11.99. But we (along with BBTS and most other online retailers that are not Wal-mart) have no other choice.
Final word, if you're collecting for future value, then you are more of a dealer than a collector. If your a fan open these suckas and have a blast : - )

As someone who benefited from repacks I applaud Hasbro for giving collectors a second shot at waves 1-5, but I also see the other side of the argument. I think the foil packaging makes the first issues unique enough for these figures to hold their value. In all honesty though as great as the Joes are, I don't think any of these toys will be putting anyone's kid through college.

it's good for loose collectors, just like when they missed out the first time.
bad for moc & completists people, more stuff for them to buy.
and also bad for people who hated the better paint version and detail.
remember a lot of folks joined the bandwagon early this year, and not last year.

they can have them all on revision cards. but thats what they are known as. Revisions. Rereleases. not the originals. Ive got every foil card and proud of it!
Someday Ill really be able to brag about it.

I think its good, cause I missed alot of wave one (as I bought a few and then couldnt collect until wave 5 or 6) so it's nice to have them again. This time, I can open them up and pose them and such.
