One more trick for "whether to buy" that has saved me money: I go to the store twice. Sometimes something I thought I wanted the first time I went to the store I can't even _remember_ a week later, so that stuff I definitely don't get it. But if I've been thinking about it all the time, then I might get it. Bottom line: maybe get what you really want, (screw what everyone else does or says).

I would say only if you are like me and want the "offical" 25th version of each of the individual figures that you can NOT get any other way (Grunt, Cutter, Deep Six in non-heavy dive suit, ect.).
Other than that as some others have stated, with a little time, some effort and being a little resourceful, you can pretty much "make" each figure from other parts and paint them to match. Only thing you are missing out on then is the stands with names on them and the file cards. So to answer your question, only if it's really worth it to YOU. HTH

Sounds like you've been good this year! Maybe Santa will give you the SRO pack for X-Mas.
Grunt is still around, the other 2 figs suck, but if you ebay Grunt he's probably around the same price (with shipping) if you bought the SRO pack new. -I've got the !st wave of SRO's and the Greenshirts set...cause I'm Joe Crazy....waiting to see if other sets go on sale or clearance! |
