The most underrated figure - Night Watch Trooper 1,2,3,4. It is a fantastic rethink of the standard cobra trooper; with frankly a bit more edge. The blue camo give just a taste of the classic blue, the brown accents and grey mask give it some additional color variation over original. all the extra black makes them a bit more menacing than original. The painted hair in four colors, and excellent selection of weapons; are just icing on the cake. I challenge anyone to show me army built ranks that look more attractive from a distance; however I suspect because they are repaints - they get no love.

I think Buzzer is very underrated. I also think Spirit is underrated despite the "I'm taking a dump" expression on his face.

W.1 Flint - even with the slit wrists, he's one bad mamma jamma. He can tear up everybody in Cobra and still look good. Who else can rock the beret and black shirt like that? He is the most GQ of the Joes and doesn't get enough props.
5 Pack Snake Eyes-Awesome fig. New yet classic "Joe" look for him. This fig isn't spoken of enough, IMO. w.7 "Flag" Duke - I totally dig this version of Duke. Duke is the leader and deserves respect despite the wrists. Great accessories and paint scheme. If he wasn't a peg warmer, he'd seem "limited edition" especially with the silver stand. All of the NINJA's - whether it's SS, Ninja KU, or the Red Ninjas, these figures are IMO the most menacing looking in the line. These guys are straight gangster...nuf said. Clutch - the other day I was putting the stickers on my Vamp and I said to myself, "man, this is a really nice figure" and that's the truth. Not enough recognition for a really nice fig with a vest all his own (as far as I know, no other fig has that vest). |

I really like the Duke figure that comes with Red Star. Grand Slam, Rock & Roll and both versions of Stalker are great, too. Those figures don't get a lot of praise, but I'm big fans of them all. I might also be the only one who likes the blue Snake Eyes and all-white Storm Shadow from Wave 1 of the comic-packs.
One figure that everyone else likes that I think is OVER-rated is the Snow Serpent. They, like Bazooka, are way, way over the 1:18th scale unless they are supposed to all be 6'10" or something. |

Red Ninjas, Scar-face and Clutch for me...
I've wanted proper Red Ninjas since GIJoe 21 came out!

Funny how Flint Arms do not strike as much of a nerve as Duke Arms...

While I think a lot of people are confusing "underated" with their "favorite" figures (CP firefly, snow serpent, Snowjob are far from underated, most people rave about these figures), my underated figure based on the venom spit at them from many collectors would be:
The Viper, this poor guy gets slagged so much for his wrists, ankles, and vest pegs, and I personally don't see much of a problem with most of it and the problems they do create are so minisule to me.
