This is my opinion but I think that's why we are getting hit with so many revision cases right now because they are releasing Wave 10 to online retailers before the stores.

The thing that gets to me is that it wouldn't be an issue if they devoted enough space to GI Joe. Iron Man has a huge section, Star Wars has almost an entire row if you count in the end caps all over the place. Yet GI Joe gets one column of figures and one of comic packs, with the vehicles and videos underneath.
Then their computers will show this stuff isn't selling, when it would sell if the new stuff were stocked. It's the old comic packs that aren't selling. Hopefully Target or Wal Mart runs a promo on the comic packs again soon... maybe I'll pick up a few more Fred/Scarface packs to make more room on the pegs. Only problem with that is Hasbro is still shipping these old comic packs to fill the cases of the newer revisions. Arrrgghhhh! Can't win. |

i have the same problem at my target: so much room for stuff i don't care about.
if wave 10 was at my target i know for a fact they wouldn't be able to put them on the shelves fast enough. maybe i should get into collecting hot wheels so i get more joy out of my visits. |

yeah if it werent for these revision cases we might actually have NEW shit on shelves. I mean revisions are nice if you didnt pick up the figures the first time but stores wont stock anythign new as long as there is ONE single old figure on the pegs...drives me nucking futs.

the employees at my target pay so little attention they often stock movies and games before their official release date. i can't imagine them paying that much attention to notice a thing like that. all the orders come from their pda anyways, i can't imagine the computer having some weird fifo system for toys. but if that's true, that's really really lame, and explains a lot, since the old stuff at my target doesn't really seem to be selling. |

What kills me is Wal-mart has about 4 columns and a lot of shelf space for "The Corps", TRU has an aisle and a half for that True Heroes crap, and Target has 1/4 of an aisle for their version of knock-off Joes, but each of them only give the crummiest shelf space to Joe himself.
Advertise these bad boys. Get them some room to breathe. They'd probably sell like freaking hot cakes if you gave them some TLC. ESPECIALLY because the people that grew up on (3 3/4") GI Joe are the 26-35 age group, and that's precisely the age group most likely to have kids ages 4-10. A "25th Anniversary" is basically BEGGING fathers to pass their old childhood obsessions on their kids.

That's not the case in my area. The two closest Walmarts have been restocking regularly, but of course it is only revision cases. Never thought I'd see all these IG Destros and Battle Armor Cobra Commanders just hanging out on the pegs. My only concern is that one of those two stores had their pegs completely full, they could not have put any more figures out without adding more pegs for them. Hopefully stores will start doing that to get the newer waves out when they start receiving them. |
