Hey everyone. I found a pretty easy and very inexpensive way to solve some of your storage problems.
If you work some where or know someone who works in an office and has access to paper cases for ink jets or the such here is a really easy way to store your figures in their package and keep them organized.
In this case I can put 42 carded figures.
Have a look.

Never thought of that, but any idea how many figures in star cases will fit in one of those?
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Great idea! I have access to these boxes by the droves. Now I just need to get enough packaged 25th Joes to fit in one..or two!

As a mass collector, I like to lay my figures flat in a large enough box and stack appropriately turning the bubbles away from each other. It creates more room and I am able to stack a ton of figures in some regular sized boxes.
(I can get 25 in an Ebay Box 07)

Just a word of warning... most copy paper boxes don't hold up well over time. The one OP pictured looks like it's designed a bit better than most (full sides that the lid wraps around), but most are terrible for long-term storage. I go through about 6-8 boxes a week at work, and started using them to store my collections about 7 years ago... big mistake. The glue degrades, can't stack them really (keep in mind that when you see these stacked on pallets/in retail that it's the paper bearing the weight), just general all-around disappointment. I've since started slowly switching everything over to plastic tubs, which is expensive, but better than worrying about the one on the bottom giving way and giving everything a free trip to the floor.
tl;dr choose your storage carefully.

remember, comic book bags (modern era, $6 for 100) are perfectly sized to use as protective packaging for carded Joes. I had a thread on this at some point. I'd recommend you put them in those acid free bags before storing in any kind of cardboard box. In addition to the natural acids that could be in the box, there's the random bad luck thing - I discovered we had a water leak in the wall behind where I put my box of EVERY CARDED JOE I HAVE (tremble...) but the comic bags kept them safe despite the box having some water already soaked into it. Nightmare fuel.
